Per the strong advice of a number of our OCPAC executive team members, we are cancelling our Wednesday meeting this week to allow OCPAC members to focus fully on their families.
Jane and I have precious grandchildren in this week and will be giving them our undivided attention.
Some of OCPAC’s leadership will be out of town to make use of the opportunity afforded by Thanksgiving week to focus on the family.
This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for many things. On the forefront is our gratitude for the well-being of Charlie Meadows who is finally doing well after three grueling surgeries which threatened to take his life.
You are a special group. Your encouragement and kindness to me personally has been at times overwhelming. I want you to know that I appreciate each one of you from all over Oklahoma.
I pray that God will anoint you with the power and presence of His Spirit as we seek to continue to establish His Kingdom together. When Jesus told us to pray that His Kingdom would come to the earth and his will be done on the earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10), He was building on His promise a few hundred years earlier when He spoke through Isaiah (Isaiah 9:6, 7). He said this regarding his pending incarnation which came 2,000 years ago:
“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.”
