Book Recommendations | | Sex and World History by Bob Linn | Wednesday’s speaker will discuss the fact that one of the most reprehensible, vicious, and notoriously evil regimes to assume political power in history was led by homosexuals.
Given the unimaginable meanness (see here and there) of the LGBTQ+ movement in today's American culture, it is no surprise that one of the most despicable political movements in history was led by such as these. | Hitler and his Nazi party ruthlessly slaughtered millions. The link of the Nazi party to the gay movement is irrefutable according to Dr. Scott Lively.
He comes this Wednesday with mountains of evidence supporting his magnum opus, The Pink Swastika. | "The modern sexual revolution is a central, not peripheral, element in the conflict between Christianity and secularism." ~ Dr John Frame Ph.D. D.D.
Scripture puts the LGBTQ movement in perspective. God does not hide the sexual sin of His people. Nor does God hide the fact that he has redeemed the many flawed moments in the lives of His people. We see Judah looking for a prostitute in Genesis 38. We see Tamar looking to extend the line of Judah posing as a prostitute. The convergence of the sexual sin of Judah connected with the righteous intention of Tamar to populate the lineage of promise is amazing. In like manner, the second chapter of the book of Joshua (featuring Rahab the harlot) is a bit stunning. Can the people of God do anything without visiting prostitutes?
Christ’s people are far from prudish. They, too, have their fallen sexual appetites. Both Gen 38 and Joshua 2 highlight the formation of the Messianic seed in an intentionally public way. The church is, in this sense, very earthy. The sin of LGBTQ is no shock to our system. And, the redemption which flows to us is neither more nor less gracious than that which extends its hand to LGBTQ. It is not arrogance. It is redemption.
Any challengers to Dr Lively’s research out there? Come challenge him this Wednesday!

| POLITICAL MINUTE Steve Anderson When Agencies Trump Voters | AGENCY AUTONOMY How Bureaucracies Trump Your Legislators
There is a lot that is not understood about how state and federal governments interact. California’s unique emission standards is one of many great examples of how bureaucracies can actually run the country.
The EPA is a federal entity BUT they have an “arrangement” with the states. It is called the State Implementation Plan (SIP). The state agrees to enforce EPA rulings and the EPA mandates the SIP be at least the equivalent of the federal regulations. BUT, a SIP can actually be more stringent than the federal rules if the EPA approves them. Here is the travesty: some bureaucrats at the EPA approved the California emissions standards and allowed them to go forward. | I am not surprised that the Trump administration is just beginning to understand these underhanded techniques that bureaucracies use to “run” government the way they want it.
Agencies over-riding policies of duly elected officials. When I served in a Governor’s Cabinet I was stunned to learn that, among the many long-time political figures in the room, I was the only one who knew what a SIP was! | Very seldom does any legislature ever look at the SIP. The bureaucrats in the state environmental agency pretty well have their run of how the SIP is submitted to the EPA.
During my tenure on that gubernatorial cabinet, we were blocked from changing the SIP that had gone well beyond the EPA’s basic rules. Why? Because only the bureaucrats at the EPA can agree to make a change!
In other words, if a climate change nut-job at a state environmental agency slips a SIP past the state’s elected officials, the state will be bound by it. The state is bound even if the voters of that state have elected officials who are not in agreement.
It is just another example of how bureaucracies control government from within. Bureaucracies who operate in full disregard of the voter’s choices.
Informed legislators could demand change. However, I will bet that if our readers were to call their state senator and representative NONE of them would be able to tell you what a State Implementation Plan (SIP) is.
