LEGISLATIVE PANEL

TREASURER TODD RUSS

CANADIAN NATIONAL LEADER

Canada has lost its Christian (sane & rational) mind. Stockwell Burt Day, former Canadian cabinet member and leader of Canada's conservative coalition, will make a cameo appearance Wednesday to provide us a first hand taste of what it is like to lose a nation and the pathways to recovery.

Legislative conservatives who have yet to grace the OCPAC Foundation stage will be with us to provide an insider's perspective on the battles won and lost in the 2026 legislative session.

Oklahoma has been spared fiscal fraud by thanks to the leadership of Oklahoma Treasurer, Todd Russ. His business and banking background more than equipped him to out-think the machinations of BlackRock, State Street, & others. He leads the fight against DEI in our state as it threatens our business and financial institution.

Todd will provide a sketch of the challenges that face us.

Former House leader, Jon Echols will talk about the Attorney General position.

WADE BURLESON PLEDGES TO DONATE HIS CONGRESSIONAL SALARY TO NON-PROFIT CHARITIES IF ELECTED TO DISTRICT 3

OCPAC FOUNDATION IS

AT THE TOP OF HIS LIST

(OCPAC: ORIGINAL CONSTITUTIONAL PRICIPLES AFFECTING CULTURE)

Four years ago, Frank Lucas won 61% of the primary vote with Wade Burleson winning 31% and Stephen Butler winning 8%.  Butler spent no money and did not campaign. Burleson spent $250,000 and Lucas spent $1.5 million.

This year, Burleson has pledged to spend no money.

If the Cheyenne & Arapaho have their way, it will be Burleson and not Lucas who will represent Western Oklahoma (District Three) in 2027.

Aside from his campaign's many other commitments, Burleson has pledged to direct his congressional salary to charities if elected, stating that the OCPAC Foundation* will be at the top of his list.

*For clarity, the Foundation is not a participant financially or otherwise

involved with any part of this campaign or with efforts relating

to any other political campaign throughout the state.

21st CENTURY TOWER OF BABEL:

THE UNIVERSITY

Continuation

When U S Supreme Court justice Neil Cavanagh stated that America was not founded upon Biblical Christianity, he confirmed that America’s universities, the nation’s towers of Babel, have corrupted the minds of significant layers of American culture.

Our universities are impacting our nation from kindergarten upward reaching to the highest towers of national governance.  The corruption of the American university is rotting American culture.

In his Washington Times article this past weekend, Dr. Everett Piper questions the depth of Cavanah’s academic foundations.  I question his knowledge of world history.

The Mayflower Compact (1620) represents the founding document of the Plymouth Colony, the state of Massachusetts, and the other thirteen colonies.  The compact established with clarity the unity of thought of its forty-one signers that the political and cultural vision was centered upon these words:

Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts of Virginia . . .

America’s Mayflower Compact is rooted deep in the Christian development of Europe’s constellation of nations.

America’s Christian founding emanated from the Christianity which molded the many nations populating the European landscape.

Beginning with the miraculous life of St. Patrick, nations were being discipled in Christian thought by the time of Patrick’s death on March 17, 461.

See my March 16, 2026 article on Patrick's

work to save Western Civilization here.

Subsequently, the Middle Ages (500 AD-1500 AD) saw Christendom continue as the thought leader and instructor of the European nations.

Christian discipleship so enveloped culture on a national scale that in 1643, the Parliament of England made a covenant with God which also enveloped Scotland and Ireland.  It is called the Solemn League and Covenant.

Christians had no problem with the idea of discipling nations and the idea of a national covenant with God was considered normal.

The multinational covenant begins:

We, Noblemen, Barons, Knights, Gentlemen, Citizens, Burgesses, Ministers of the Gospel, and Commons of all sorts, in the kingdoms of Scotland, England, and Ireland, by the providence of GOD living under one King, and being of one reformed religion, having before our eyes the glory of GOD, and the advancement of the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST, the honour and happiness of the King’s Majesty and his posterity, and the true publick liberty, safety, and peace of the kingdoms, wherein every one’s private condition is included.

Whereof the deplorable state of the church and kingdom of Ireland, the distressed estate of the church and kingdom of England, and the dangerous estate of the church and kingdom of Scotland, are present and public testimonies; we have now at last, (after other means of supplication, remonstrance, protestation, and sufferings,) for the preservation of ourselves and our religion from utter ruin and destruction, according to the commendable practice of these kingdoms in former times, and the example of GOD’s people in other nations, after mature deliberation, resolved and determined to enter into a mutual and solemn League and Covenant, wherein we all subscribe, and each one of us for himself, with our hands lifted up to the most High GOD, do swear . . .

And, because these kingdoms are guilty of many sins and provocations against GOD, and his Son JESUS CHRIST, as is too manifest by our present distresses and dangers, the fruits thereof; we profess and declare, before GOD and the world, our unfeigned desire to be humbled for our own sins, and for the sins of these kingdoms . . . to the glory of GOD, the enlargement of the kingdom of JESUS CHRIST, and the peace and tranquillity of Christian kingdoms and commonwealths.

Nations who lose national devotion to Christ decline into the savage tyrannies. Hence, the atheist states which defined and bloodied the 20th century.

The Russian dissident, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, recognized this as the crux of his own nation's political demise when he said, “This all happened because Russia forgot God.”

On September 14, 1993, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn spoke to the International Academy of Philosophy in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.  The Academy is a private university.

The title of his lecture was:

We Have Ceased to See the Purpose

Solzhenitsyn noted the Russian philosopher Vladimir Solovyov who insisted that from the point of view of Christianity, morality (emanating from transcendent authority) and politics are closely linked.  He went on to describe the devastation of a political empire without Christianity.

Solzhenitsyn spoke of man who has not ministered to the spiritual needs (direction and purpose) of his own soul.  He spoke of man without clarity of destiny as man who is disoriented.

That lecture is found in The Solzhenitsyn Reader here.

This disconnectedness from our national roots in a divine calling is the disorder of a nation who has no memory of its roots.  It is the disorder of the university disconnected from the entirety of the civilization in which it was birthed.

English novelist and popular historian, Tom Holland, wrote that the world’s oldest university, The University of Bologna, became, “a new nerve-center for the transfiguration of Christian society.”

Joseph Loconte, William E. Simon Fellow in Religion at the Heritage Foundation, agrees with Holland. He made reference to Holland's statement about Bologna, the world's oldest university, and said:

The recovery of its intellectual and spiritual vision is perhaps the most urgent task of our time.

It is why Americans stand in desperate need for bold leadership from Christian men who will right the ship of state.

In Oklahoma’s case, it means a Governor who will make the transformation of our university’s regent boards job one.

It means working through these boards to welcome the Christian West back into the lives and the education of our young people.

We’ll talk more on it all this Wednesday.  In the meantime, Dr. Piper has much to say in his Washington Times article below.

Make plans to attend our Spring finale which features our four front-running Republican candidates on Wednesday, May 27 at noon in the Oklahoma History Center.

Ask your candidate his plan to remediate the university!

JUSTICE GORSUCH IS

WRONG

In a recent interview, Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch said that the United States is not a Christian nation but rather one that is "creedal."

He then went on to extol the principles of “equality, inalienable rights, and self-rule” as being above any commonly held religious beliefs or consequent moral obligations.

More specifically, Mr. Gorsuch said that:

[America] was not founded on a religion.  It is not based on a common culture, even, or heritage. We’re a creedal nation.

The fact that one of the supposed “conservative” judges of our nation’s highest court just made such a statement should stun all of us.  Why?  Because it simply is not true, and anyone with an elementary school understanding of American history should know it.

How could Justice Gorsuch not know that the principles he claims to cherish - principles such as “equality, inalienable rights, and self-rule” - do not just create themselves ex nihilo, i.e., out of nothing?  How could he not know that human rights, personal liberty, and the right to self-governance must be grounded in something and that their source is the very religion, culture, and common heritage he denies?

How could he not know that our Founding Fathers — the ones who wrote, signed, and championed the “creed” he says he loves — said the exact opposite of what he claims?

How could he not know that the authors of our nation’s creed told us repeatedly that we, in fact, are a country of common faith and common values and that what binds us together is our Judeo-Christian understanding and respect for the Bible?

How could Justice Gorsuch not know that James McHenry, for example, declared:

The Holy Scriptures… can alone secure to society order and peace, and to our courts of justice and constitutions of government, purity, stability and usefulness.

How could he not know that John Quincy Adams said:

No book in the world deserves to be so unceasingly studied and so profoundly meditated upon as the Bible. [It is] the first and almost the only book deserving such universal recommendation…

How could he not know that one of our earliest American historians, W.P. Strickland, observed,

Who… will call into question the assertion that this is a Bible nation? Who will charge the government with indifference to religion when the first Congress of the States assumed all the rights and performed all the duties of a Bible Society long before such an institution had an existence in the world!

How could Justice Gorsuch not know that John Jay (Founding Father and original Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court) said:

The Bible is the best of all books, for it is the Word of God and teaches us the way to be happy in this world and in the next. Continue, therefore… to regulate your life by its precepts.

How could he not know that Mr. Jay then went further to declare:

The Moral or Natural Law was given by the Sovereign of the universe to all mankind… Being founded by infinite wisdom and goodness on essential right, which never varies, it can require no amendment or alteration.

And lest we miss his point, he then concluded by saying:

The Gospel not only recognizes the whole Moral Law and extends and perfects our knowledge of it, but also enjoins on all mankind the observance of it.  Being ordered by a Legislator of infinite wisdom and rectitude and in Whom there is ‘no variableness’, it must be free from imperfection and therefore never has nor ever will require any [change].

HOW COULD ANY “CONSERVATIVE”

JUSTICE OF ANY COURT

NOT KNOW ALL THIS?

America’s common religious and cultural heritage is irrefutable.  It is the glue that has bound us together for 250 years.  It is the source and stability of the national “creed” that Justice Gorsuch so admires. None of the freedoms and rights he is charged to defend would exist without the very faith and foundation he now sidesteps and denies.

Those who gave their blood and fortune to bequeath to us the liberties Justice Gorsuch now celebrates knew this.  And they also made it very clear that should we ever forget that we are, in fact, a people bound together by this common faith and common heritage, that our efforts at “self-rule” would fail and our country would fall.

Before the good Justice grants any more interviews, he might do well to go back and read a little bit of American history.  I’d recommend he start with John Adams:

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
