A GOVERNMENT-INDUCED TRAGEDY


Elijah Woolley tragically died in the home of his adoptive grandparents. As a result, county officials removed his brother, Clayton, from the family and placed little Clayton in what neighbors call a deplorable situation.

The Woolleys are a devout Christian family. They had custody of their daughter’s two sons, Elijah and Clayton, when she became incapacitated and could no longer function as their mother. Elijah and Clayton's mother suffered from an addiction to pain killers due to the pharmaceuticals her doctors administered to her as she recovered from an injury.


TRAGEDY STRUCK

in 2018


On March 30, 2018, Elijah Woolley tragically died in his sleep from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Immediately, upon receiving the phone call from the grandparents, the Wagoner County Sheriff announced that it was murder.


The Medical Examiner’s office in Wagoner County had no accreditation. They complied with the Sheriff’s statement that “SIDS does not exist” and certified it as a homicide.


For these reasons, multiple leading experts were called in to evaluate the coroner’s assessment.

Dr. Carl Schmidt, leading national expert on infant homicide and Dr. Robert Block, former president of the American Academy of Pediatrics were two of a number of highly respected experts who found the Medical Examiner's assessment of murder thoroughly spurious and incompetent.


Both doctors stated that the death was not murder.


Since then, the Wagoner County government, as well as the Department of Human services, have dug in their heels.

This Wednesday, the Governor’s father, Pastor John Stitt will be at the History Center to talk about his role in helping to bring justice to the Woolley family.


He will exhort us to join him in

the effort to restore Clayton

to his Christian family.


Clayton's grandparents,

Bill and Lisa Woolley,

will also be with us.


Pastor John Stitt will lead us in a special time of prayer for Bill & Lisa that God will guide them to victory as they navigate the multiple on-going legal battles in the effort to regain custody of Clayton.

PUTTING SCHOOL

BOARD ON ALERT

One school board in Arizona voted to allow transgender students to use any bathroom they choose. The board stated that there is no evidence that such people have ever abused girls.


This Wednesday, we will show the four-minute clip of Ben Larrabee's amazing and forceful rebuke of the school board. Ben is a project manager for Turning Point USA.


His presentation was well researched and included an example from an Oklahoma school. The video is brief but inspiring.

The future of a nation depends upon its shepherds to guard, protect, and guide the people of God that we may perform our roles well in both family and state.

Renewal of National Vows

As Jane and I drove home this past weekend, the gentleman at KUCO FM (90.1) who was announcing the upcoming Shostakovich 5th Symphony spent quite some time commenting on the political travesty of what I call Stalin’s national death camp.

 

Stalin’s U.S.S.R. was a place where certain people were just never heard from again.


For those reasons, Shostakovich asked that his memoirs, Testimony, be published posthumously.

His editor Solomon Volkov noted that Shostakovich would often and repeatedly say, “After my death, after my death.”


Several writers have noted, the impact of Testimony on the musical world has been similar to that of Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Archipelago on a more general audience.


In his introduction to Testimony, Volkov opens:

The figure in the open coffin had a smile on his face … I couldn’t remember his smiling like this: aloof and peaceful. Quiet, blissful, as though he had returned to his childhood. As though he had escaped.


The life Shostakovich endured under Stalin was captured by Volkov later:

This was a time when terror raged across the land. Purges took on immense proportions. They usually came for their victims at night. Shostakovich did not sleep. He lay listening, waiting in the dark.


The newspapers of the period were filled with letters and articles demanding death for “terrorists, spies, and conspirators.” They were signed by almost everyone who hoped to survive; but whatever the risk, Shostakovich would not sign such a letter.


Stalin had made a private decision concerning Shostakovich; Shostakovich would not be arrested, despite his closeness to such “enemies of the people” ruthlessly destroyed by Stalin.


The world-renowned Russian concert pianist and conductor, Vladimir Ashkenazy writes in the forward of Testimony:


We knew without a shadow of a doubt that Shostakovich detested the system in which he lived. We knew how much he suffered from it and how helpless he felt about being unable to do anything except express himself through his music.


Shostakovich’s son, Maxim, at a rehearsal of the eleventh symphony, whispered in his hear, “Papa what if they hang you for this?”

Ashkenazy knew that the deceit of the Communist party was so predominant and stifling, he said:


As in George Orwell’s

1984, lies became truth.


It is only by reflecting on the state of the many who, like Shostakovich, have suffered (and who are still suffering) under the political fruit of atheism that we can be grateful for that which we have never known.

Fifty-six men willingly risked their lives for us by signing our founding document which we will celebrate tomorrow. They closed the declaration by writing:


We mutually pledge to each other

our Lives, our Fortunes

and our sacred Honor.

WE MUST DO NO LESS


The God to whom these men referred repeatedly in the Declaration of Independence is again calling us to save that political liberty bequeathed to us by our founders.


The current upheaval in the media and the education unions over the return to godliness and morality in our schools is a clear sign that our political inheritance has been squandered.

You and I bear a responsibility to both those who have gone before us as well as those who are following in our footsteps to rebuild the foundations of cultural decay.


When Wade Burleson, Jesse Rodgers (City Elders), and I first met with Ryan Walters to discuss the return the focus of Oklahoma's classrooms to our nation’s foundations, it was for that very purpose.


We hope to restore the spirit of liberty inherent in the Day of Independence we will celebrate tomorrow in order to produce future generations which will eclipse all the glories of those of the past.


With all of these ideas in mind, Wade Burleson waxed eloquent last week in an Istoria article which relates to the recommendations our team made to the State Department of Education.


We recommended that all Oklahoma’s schools display the Ten Commandments on the walls of every classroom in the same way that it is so prominently displayed on the front of the United States Supreme Court building.


For all Americans, both those who do and those who do not consider the veracity of the Bible to be their ultimate presupposition, it is the document upon which American liberty is founded.

We will hear John Stitt, still the very energetic and passionate pastor and patriot, speak about the atrocious acts of the Wagoner county Sheriff department, the office of the district attorney, and Department of Human Services (DHS).

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Nature’s God and the Wokelahoman

I am a member of a grassroots committee in Oklahoma that handed the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Ryan Walters, a list of three recommendations for our state public schools.


1.

Hold a minute of silence at the beginning of the school day with the following announcement: “We now pause for a minute of silence in which students and teachers may use this minute to reflect, meditate, pray or engage in any other silent activity.”


2.

Display a “durable poster or framed copy” of the Ten Commandments in each public-school classroom.



3.

Require a “Western civilization” course for graduation “to strengthen the heritage integral to the nation’s founding and its Western culture, as well as to foster gratitude and informed citizenship.”

The Oklahoman ran an editorial today by Clytie Bunyan, the Diversity Managing Editor (whatever that means). Mrs. Bunyan made three absurd statements in her editorial.


BUNYAN’S FIRST ABSURD STATEMENT

 

“Using prayer and the Ten Commandments as props to promote one religion in schools is a blatant attempt at promoting religious superiority.”


NEWSFLASH: God is superior to man.


Belief in the God of Nature and the Laws of Nature is the basis of our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.

This is about statehood, not religion.


People who confess to diversity in our nation are demanding total conformity.


The diversity editor demands that talk of God not be in the public classroom, that Nature’s Laws exit education, and that Western Civilization be mocked for its alleged “superiority.”


The people of Oklahoma are pushing back against the diversity editor’s demands.


The Ten Commandments form the

moral basis for our nation’s

historical existence.

They’re emblazoned above the heads of the

Supreme Court Justices in Washington, DC.


But when education and diversity editors demand conformity to a secular, godless, Marxist ideology, enabling boys to self-identify as girls and children to self-identify as furry animals – all the while pushing godless Marxism over God-centered morality – Oklahoma education is in trouble.


Godless classrooms enable moral and

intellectual stupidity, ultimately

destroying real education.


That’s not me saying it.

Our Founding Fathers said it:


President John Adams, author of the Declaration of Independence with Thomas Jefferson, made it clear. He said:


Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other ... Morality and virtue are the foundation of our republic and necessary for a society to be free.

A minute of silence to contemplate Nature’s God and our accountability to the Creator and a historical display of the Ten Commandments in the classroom beside the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence serves an existential exercise for our nation, not a religious exercise for any denomination.


 

BUNYAN’S SECOND ABSURD STATEMENT


“We’re 49th in education, with kids’ overall well-being at 46th in the nation, according to the recent Kids Count report. Yet, side shows of culture wars that blow up into undignified churlish, brawl-like events continue at Board of Education meetings.”


NEWSFLASH:

Our Secretary of Public Instruction has been in office for less than a year. You remove Oklahoma City and Tulsa Public schools from the statistics; Oklahoma is 17th in education.


Ironically, it’s OKC and Tulsa newspapers and schools promoting diversity, inclusion, and conformity to a godless ideology that got us to 49th.


If there is no God, everything is permitted.

Proper education is downgraded and ultimately destroyed when classrooms are permissive and evil.


But suppose local school districts can acknowledge God in the classroom, focus on the discipline of learning, and teach the historical values of our country. In that case, the educational scores of our Oklahoma schools will skyrocket.


Our rural schools and rural teachers already practice this (much to the chagrin of Marxists). That’s why their schools, classrooms, and education schools are superior.


It’s ignorant to blame the low scores of OKC and Tulsa schools on State Superintendent Ryan Walters.


He has a plan to save these schools from self-destruction. Oklahomans overwhelmingly elected him into office, and we’ll push back on diversity editors and Marxist agitators who try to remove Ryan from office before he can effect his plan.


BUNYAN’S THIRD ABSURD STATEMENT


To imply that Oklahoma classrooms are dens of immorality is ludicrous. If morality is the problem, then grown-up leadership needs to speak, act and behave in a manner we want all of our children to model.


Ludicrous? Is it ludicrous not to want biological boys in your daughter’s restroom? Is it absurd to want your children to be taught that sexual immorality, stealing, lying, coveting, and other violations of the Laws of Nature are an offense to Nature’s God?

I’ll tell you what’s ludicrous.


It’s ludicrous to fight to expose sexual predators in religious institutions (like I did) and not speak out when the Oklahoman promotes Pride Parades, where grown men stand in front of children, exposing their genitalia to these children. It’s ludicrous not to be offended at street marches where queers parade about naked and shout:


We’re here, we’re queer, we’re

coming for your children.

I believe them.


The immorality of our culture cannot be allowed in our Oklahoma public school classrooms because diversity editors and educators mock the moral foundation of our country.


Most Oklahoma teachers are wonderful, moral men and women who believe in God and His Laws. We simply want them to be free to teach our children the truth about the heritage of the United States of America.


We are building a firewall to prevent diversity editors of Oklahoma’s state paper from wielding influence to turn our classrooms into a moral morass.


Oklahomans used to drink Budweiser.

No more.


Oklahomans used to read the state newspaper.
