Published Monday, April 3, 2023 | | WE ARE MEETING This Wednesday at NOON Oklahoma History Center | | | | RYAN WALTERS SPEAKING FOR A WHOLESOME & WELL EDUCATED OKLAHOMA An Invitation from Bob Linn
Three weeks ago, I pointed out that The Oklahoman newspaper will never publish an honest article about Ryan Walters. Four hours after those comments were published, The Oklahoman’s managing editor for “diversity” referred to the election of Ryan Walters as an infectious poison menacing our state and called for his resignation.
It was published here.
Among many other things, The Oklahoman is complaining that Ryan Walters places more weight on parental choice than the choices of the children those parents are raising. I have to wonder if that inverted theory of mentoring children suggested by the Oklahoman’s editorial staff is applied inside the families of all those employed by Gannet Publishing, owner of The Oklahoman.
Gannet and The Oklahoman stand squarely with the other fringe voices who have complained about two new rules from the Department of Education. The first rule they object to prohibits pornographic materials in our school libraries. The second rule they find troubling ensures that parents are informed of any pending instruction regarding their child’s sexuality.
The Oklahoman is not the only public entity siding with far-left radical fringe voices. Moore’s representative to the Oklahoma legislature, Mark McBride, has made it his personal mission to stop the progress of the man Oklahomans elected to clean up Joy Hofmeister's mess.
McBride actually filed legislation to impede the work Ryan Walters is doing with Oklahoma’s education. He went on record with News Channel Four accusing Ryan Walters of using "threatening rhetoric towards public schools.”
McBride said that Ryan Walters is engaged in "fear mongering and teachers, librarians, superintendents, principles are in fear of what he might do. I just wanted to put this gentleman in a box. We have got to focus on public education and not this crazy destruction of public education.”
These perplexing statements make sense in view of the fact that no legislator has taken more money from the Oklahoma Education Association (OEA) than Representative Mark McBride. | | Clearly, Representative McBride is in lock-step with the peculiar policies of the National Teachers Association (NEA), the organization whose policies the OEA is obligated to enforce. The heavy campaign contributions McBride receives from the teacher union have saddled him as well with protecting these pornographic-laden policies.
With both Gannet (The Oklahoman) and Representative Mark McBride advocating for the extreme leftist positions of the NEA, we have to be thankful that Oklahoma’s voters have a proven track record of not listening to big out-of-state money sources and their local spokespeople.
Come hear the man Oklahoma elected to stand against the unions, special interests, and government bureaucracies in order to return the authority over the education of the children of our state back to their own parents. | | Please bring your friends, family, church leaders, and your pastors! | | $5 ENTRY FEE Tax-deductible donations accepted at door. | | WEDNESDAY LUNCH Oklahoma History Center | | 11:00 AM Doors open 11:30 AM Lunch NOON to 1:15 PM Meeting

BOB LINN Sir Roger Scruton Fools, Frauds, & Firebrands
LAST WEEK Dr. Erica Li & Life in Maoist China APRIL 2023 Speaker Lineup | BOB LINN Sir Roger Scruton Fools, Frauds, & Firebrands | When Sir Roger Scruton wrote, Fools, Frauds, and Firebrands, he sought to discover why academia was inhabited by men who adhere to left-wing positions defined and supported by, in his own words, demonstrably empty rhetoric and blatant nonsense. Sir Roger was puzzled because the influence of these ideas cannot be attributed to the arguments given on their behalf. | | The very title of Scruton’s book seems an appropriate description of the loud voices who speak for the left-wing fringe we tolerate as they advocate their brand of educational nonsense in Oklahoma today. It represents an irrational revolution against the Christian foundations of Western Civilization which have meant prosperity for all ethnicities who have been buoyed by its expansion.
The revolution in today’s American classroom is built on the same ideology as the revolutions which were led by tyrants like Robespierre in France, Mao in China, and all the others around the world.
It is a rebellion against God with the never-fulfilled promises of a paradise on earth. Always ending in the torture and slaughter of millions of the most productive and most honest and innocent. Such is the testimony of last week's speaker who managed to survive the tyranny in China and build a life in the U.S.
George Orwell spoke of the evisceration of the soul of the nation which has jettisoned the traditional morality founded in the transcendent. | | In his 1940 Notes on the Way, Orwell said:
For two hundred years we had sawed and sawed and sawed at the branch we were sitting on. And in the end, much more suddenly than anyone had foreseen, our efforts were rewarded, and down we came. But unfortunately, there had been a little mistake: The thing at the bottom was not a bed of roses after all; it was a cesspool full of barbed wire … It appears the amputation of the soul isn’t just a surgical job, like having your appendix out. The wound has a tendency to go septic.
We have amputated our American soul. Though we haven't removed religion from our classrooms, we have removed God and replaced Him with a religion of man’s making.
We are indoctrinating all who enter our public schools with its soulless ideas. A once Christian nation now insists on the tenants of atheism in the classroom, the place our future voters and future leaders are trained.
In 1905, famed writer, G.K. Chesterton wrote “Heretics.” In it he wrote:
“Sixty years ago, it was bad taste to be an avowed atheist. It is still bad taste to be an avowed atheist. But their agony has achieved just this – that it is now equally bad taste to be an avowed Christian.” | | Even 70 years ago, men in Europe saw this coming to America. In his 1952 book, La filosofia oggi, Italian philosopher, Michele Fererico Sciacca, noted that “even if society in the United States calls itself Christian, American philosophy is essentially all atheistic.” |
And now, we demand it in our schools.
Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence, Princeton University complained at this reprehensible transition of the classroom. He said: | Indoctrination is not education. It is the antithesis of education. Parents of schoolchildren are rightly alarmed and appalled by it. | Steven Pinker, Johnstone Professor of Psychology, Harvard University, and the author of Enlightenment Now and Rationality wrote:
Children are our future, goes the politician’s cliché, and we may be jeopardizing that future by allowing schools to bully students into ideological conformity, racial reductionism, and tendentious activism. | When Scruton titled his book Fools, Frauds, and Firebrands, he chose a title that certainly describes the National Education Association (NEA). | The NEA is funded by America’s teachers and provides recommended ideology for America’s educators. Its policies are of a pornographic nature and are required policy of all its subsidiaries including the Oklahoma Education Association (OEA).
The OEA is able to operate in Oklahoma as the emissary for the NEA because of the voluntary dues paid to them by those teachers in Oklahoma who have chosen to be members. | The portal to the sexual deviancy promoted by the NEA is found on a sex education page in their website here.
Scrolling down that NEA page, following Table One, is a paragraph with a link to the sex education programs the NEA helped to develop for use in our schools.
The link provided on the NEA’s website will route you to the sex education program they helped develop. It is called The Future of Sex Education (FoSE).
The NEA website provides the link for the FoSA project they have helped develop here. | One of the seven categories of sex education the teacher union helped develop is called Appreciation of Sexual Diversity. If you don’t want to work your way through the NEA website to get to the FoSE site for the report, you may click here. | | You will find they promote the concepts of sexual diversity and encourage bringing into the schools members of the LGB community who will advocate for "the normalization of lesbian and gay people."
They advocate blending these ideas into all areas of the curriculum and encourage every teacher to make it a part of every class in every lesson taught.
Let me just quote that one: Don’t just do one lesson on sexual orientation and gender identity expression but include sexual orientation and gender identity and expression as a part of all the lessons you teach throughout the year.
Be intentional to include people of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions in all content areas.
So, they are advocating a daily barrage of sexual filth in every class in physics, math, chemistry, Shakespeare, physical education, football, and on and on.
Another area of the study the NEA helped develop is called Understanding Gender found here.
Among the areas of emphasis is the stated need to initiate this sex training in pre-school and kindergarten. | | The Oklahoma teacher’s union, the OEA, is obligated to comply with the NEA’s guidelines. State Representative Mark McBride also advocates in our Oklahoma legislature on behalf of the NEA/OEA ideals as he is fighting to stop the efforts of Ryan Walters as Mr. Walters is working to eradicate our schools of this filth. No one in the Oklahoma legislature has received more campaign contributions from the OEA than has Mark McBride. | Recently, Mark McBride claimed he was unaware of pornography in our public schools. Quite an admission of ignorance in the face of the program the OCPAC Foundation hosted on November 2, 2022. We featured Edmond mom, Janelle Shellem, and a seemingly endless list of books from the Edmond Public Schools filled with X-rated pictures and filth that even adults cringed to hear and see the content. | Some of Oklahoma’s state legislators expressed their offense when, in response to the plea of ignorance from Mark McBride, they were sent similar pictures from our children’s school libraries. Those self-righteous complaints betray a crass indifference to the damage we adults are allowing to take place in the hearts and minds of our school children. | The NEA’s presence in Oklahoma is made possible by the dues of the teachers who voluntarily join the OEA. This is a decision difficult to comprehend, since they could receive double the insurance coverage and obtain far superior legal representation at half the price of the OEA by joining instead the POE (Professional Oklahoma Educators). | And, an added benefit of POE is that, unlike the NEA/OEA, POE sends no money to support candidates.
Especially not the far-left political candidates the NEA/OEA supports from U.S. President on down to local candidates like Mark McBride.
It is Oklahoma’s teachers that keep the NEA in business in Oklahoma.
God save us from Scruton’s Fool, Frauds, and Firebrands. | A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or through communicating by email and begin the process of getting involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world. | Christianity is the very foundation of human thought. It is the foundation of free & prosperous societies. | We are in desperate need of returning our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.
Thank you for your activism. _________ | I'll see you at this Wednesday's luncheon!
