The bill was signed by the Governor and prohibits teaching the racially divisive CRT concepts.
We are at war.
We are at war. Otherwise, the idea that, in a civilized society, there would be a need for HB 1775 would have been outrageous and shocking. Wars require soldiers. | The virtue and courage of a soldier has been found in a Tulsa teacher. She is the reason that on Thursday, July 28, the Oklahoma Board of Education executed enforcement on behalf of HB 1775.
For multiple violations of a state ban on teaching divisive racial ideology, including a lesson meant to shame white people for past offenses in history, the Tulsa School District’s accreditation was downgraded to “accreditation with warning.” | The vote was 4-2.
Democrat Joy Hofmeister, current Secretary of Public Instruction, voted against the sanction.
Her vote spoke volumes.
The political ties of the Democrat Party with the nation’s largest teacher union, the National Education Association (NEA), and its local affiliate, the OEA, have one clear objective: the destruction of Christianity and the culture of Western Civilization it built. | It is why NEA President, Becky Pringle, opened her comments at last month’s NEA convention in Chicago praising former Communist Party member and terrorist, Angela Davis.
It is why the NEA has denounced the reversal of Roe v Wade, the right of coach Joe Kennedy to pray on the football field, and the right for parents, not legislatures, to control the flow of education dollars.
It is why the NEA supports the tenets of the LGBT movement.

In 2020, the NEA spent $50.7 million on left-wing political candidates, their causes, and lobbying efforts. The NEA spent $120 Million on leftist organizations.
NEA’s most recent LM-2 reports are available here: | PRAYER WALK THIS THURSDAY | This week, we will gather at Tulsa Memorial to pray for the continued strength of this embattled brave & virtuous soldier and for a cultural victory for all of her students. It is the impoverished character of the National Education Association that supplies the vitriol, hatred, and brutish personal attacks of Tulsa’s lone but outspoken representative of virtue and courage. | I mentioned Dr. Carl Trueman in last week’s OCPAC newsletter. His book, The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self, addresses the essential nature of the culture’s most overt threat in the form of the spawns of the Frankfurt School as well as its sires.
One of those spawns is the NEA and its local affiliates. The demonic net has quickly become ubiquitous in the theatre of cultural warfare in both America and Europe. Trueman speaks to the 21st century’s most pernicious threat to our children and the future of civilization. Those threats are imbedded in the NEA/OEA. | A few years ago, I shocked my oldest grandson when, as I was reviewing the thematic focus of the 12 books which separate the book of Danial from the book of Matthew. I referred to Hosea, the first book of the group, as the book of whores. He was shocked and asked if it wasn’t a “bad” word. I pointed out that the term fills the book. Nineteen times by my count. This does not count the synonyms used.
I bring it up because in Hosea’s 4th chapter, God speaks to His people. His people are the Hebrew children Stephen called the church in the desert and others in our day refer to as the primitive church. He tells them that their lack of knowledge will be the cause of their destruction. As members of that same church, it is a message for us as well!
Hosea’s warning identifies the cause of the cultural decay in America today as our impoverished epistemology. | We lack in our schools, universities, and seminaries a firm academic foundation. Good academics are an aid to the contemplation, meditation, and the application of Scripture so that the many endeavors to which we are called in life will find their rest in the divine teleological and eschatological thoughts that God has chosen to reveal to us. By doing so, we have each been provided with epistemological foundations and the lens through which life itself and our place in it may be understood. | Our pulpits, pews, and schools lack the foundation for a Biblical concept of the purpose of mankind. Knowing our divinely-ordained purpose is indispensable for the 21st Century church to make its divinely-ordained mark on world history.
America’s cultural well-being and the health of the pulpit, the pew, and our progeny depend on an upgrading of the knowledge to which Hosea referred.
The people of God represent the universal majority while the secularist is only a temporary cloud in the panorama of God’s story. History runs on God’s time clock and not the myth of unregenerate men. | The manmade paths to heaven produce only Hell on earth and man’s Nietzschean roadways to deity lead only to sub-humanity. To eliminate God as the fundamental ontological principle is to emasculate reality. It is the intrusion of these mythical concepts into our universities and seminaries that have given us a church that is truncated, sterilized, and peripheral. The church has become a derivative of the bizarre and produced a culture that is rootless and without intellectual strength.
We must wed our cultural mind with the mind of God. | I mentioned at the beginning of this article that Christ ordained the war between the seed of Satan and the Seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15.
I failed to mention that you don’t have to thumb through your Bible to the book of Revelation and read those last chapters to discover the results.
The victory of Christ and His church is noted with as much force as with its great brevity in Genesis 3:15 when, reading from the original Hebrew, we learn that the Seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent!
This week’s speaker represents what I hope is the future of Oklahoma’s educational opportunities. The school is founded upon a firm respect for Western Civilization and the Christian foundations of the American Republic. Elements which should be central to all American education. | We are in desperate need of returning to our foundations.

MATHEMATICS TEACHER GARY BARKSDALE | Gary Barksdale received a standing ovation for his impassioned comments about life under an administration determined to replace historic values of Western Civilization. The bizarre efforts of the Frankfurt School's disciples to destroy Christian thought and the nation it built have encompassed America's education institutions with little apparent push-back.
About Gary Barksdale | Gary Barksdale has taught mathematics at OU for 34 years. Gary is highly popular among the student body. He has never had one formal complaint filed against him. But after returning to "in-person instruction" after the Covid break (2020), four complaints had been filed against Gary. What was Gary's offense? There were two specific issues:
Issue #1. Every day, Gary welcomes his math students (200 to 300 in an auditorium) with these words: "Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Open your textbooks to...." - A non-binary student complained that Gary's binary welcome created "a hostile, unsafe environment for those who identify as non-binary."
Issue #2. | Gary often wears a hat with an American flag embroidered on it. Complaints against Gary accuse him of being a white supremacist because he wears a hat with a USA flag.
Gary does not have tenure. How will administration respond to the complaints?
Who knows.
I admire men and women like Gary who do not succumb or buckle under the ridiculous pressure of the crazy left.
