Find her campaign website here. ____________ | | JAMES LANKFORD Only if He is out of committee | | We sent a hurried weekend edition on Friday to correct an announcement made last week that we would meet next on June 22 but not the 15th. Instead, on Thursday we learned the COHBA was available on the 15th (3rd Wednesday) and NOT the 22nd (Fourth Wednesday).
At the time, it appeared that Senator Lankford might be available to make a zoom appearance. However, unless his Republican Policy Committee meeting ends in time to do so, he will not be able to break free.
We will be prepared in case he call in. Sorry for all those hoping to get a question or two answered and for those who just wanted to hear from the Senator.
It is not James who is backing out. It was us who jumped the gun.
____________
To clarify some weekend queries:
An appearance at OCPAC does not imply an endorsement.
We have endorsed neither James Lankford nor Jackson Lahmeyer at this point and may not endorse. We have many members who favor Lahmeyer and some who favor Lankford. The feelings on both sides are quite impassioned. | | WEDNESDAY LUNCH Central Oklahoma Home Builders | | 11:00 AM Doors open 11:30 AM Lunch NOON to 1:15 PM Meeting

Ferate spoke last Wednesday about the firing of coach Joe Kennedy for praying after football games and his role in bringing this before the U.S. Supreme court, I was impressed at the way in which the local engagement of a patriot can produce profound waves of political change in a way as to impact all fifty states.
Each of us embodies the divine purpose for which God shaped us when in our mother’s womb. A lifetime is required to fulfill the journey and we should never under-estimate the capacity of God to use us no matter how inconsequential our early years appear to be.
This past weekend, historian Bill Federer drew our attention to the great American poet from Illinois, Carl Sandburg. | Son of poor Swedish immigrants, a hobo early in life, a barbershop porter, a brickyard hand, and a farm laborer, in time, he discovered his gifting as a writer. At sixty-five, he began his first novel.
His poem, Prayers of Steel, reflects his desire to be an instrument in the hand of God, as he wrote, “Lay me on an anvil, O God. Beat me and hammer me …”
This son of Swedish immigrants also wrote to encourage us in our civic duties. He said:
When a nation goes down, or a society perishes, one condition may always be found; they forgot where they came from … They lost sight of what had brought them along.
Writing in “Washington Monument by Night”, he said, “The Republic is a dream. Nothing happens unless first a dream.”
He admonished all Americans to not loose heart in the divine purposes God has for America. In an interview published in This Week Magazine on January 4, 1952, he said:
I see America, not in the setting sun of a black night of despair ahead of us. I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God.
I see great days ahead, great days possible to men and women of will and vision. | The next two weeks represents the time we have to work before some profoundly important primary elections.
As A.J. Ferate has demonstrated, your work in Oklahoma carries the potential of having a penetrating effect on our state and on the nation. Don’t under-estimate your role in Oklahoma’s future!
If you are not already engaged, I would urge you to connect with either the campaign to elect Attorney General, John O’Conner, or the campaign to elect Oklahoma’s Secretary of Education, Ryan Walters, as the next Superintendent of Public Education.
Obviously, our representation in Washington is also profoundly important and I appreciate those of you working diligently to elect Wade Burleson for CD 3. | Find the list of endorsements which came out last Friday here. We will send a more complete list mid-week.
Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson:
Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.
Jefferson's words are a forceful and explicit warning that to remove God from this country will destroy it.

God bless! | OCPAC ENDORSES JOHN O'CONNOR Bearing the torch for Oklahoma's future | John O'Connor's qualifications go deeper than the accolades of his peers and his leadership in philanthropic endeavors. He is a devout Christian, prayer warrior, and Bible student.
John 's Christianity is not just for show. It has defined every aspect of his life since his days at Oklahoma State University. It is why he was able to win the hand of Lucia, his wife of 42 years, formally Miss Oklahoma, and equally as firm in her devotion for the Scriptures and the way in which they are a guide for all of life's pathways.
His opponent, however, has deep ties to the Democrat Party in their effort to unseat the Attorney General. Find Ray Carter's article Democratic Boosters Seek to Influence GOP Attorney General Race here.
