The West Point roster included future President, World War II hero, and 5-star General, Dwight D. Eisenhower at halfback. Another future hero of WWII, commander of the U.S. Army, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and 5-star General, Omar Bradly played the end position. Oklahoma's Carlisle Indians were led by legendary coach, Pop Warner and featured Sac and Fox Indian, Jim Thorpe known by many as the greatest athlete in the world. So immensely profound and impressive is Wade Burleson's telling of the story that Hall of Fame Coach Bob Stoops asked Wade to tell the story to the Sooner football team. Lincoln Riley did the same. This is an example of the kind of victories we must come to expect as we ramp up our vigilance and our engagement. Another victory is to see churches all over America open on Easter proclaiming the greatest moment in human history when our adversary the devil witnessed what he imagined had been his greatest moment of triumph instead become the restoration of the people of God and the foundation of what we now call Western Civilization. Victory is in the Christian's DNA. From Genesis to Revelation, God speaks of the mission of His people in optimistic terms. The divine mission on this earth is daunting. For this reason, it is paired with message of Easter we have been hearing over the past week that He has overcome the world and imparts to the church the power and authority inherent in His resurrection.
