His Ph.D. dissertation at the University of St. Andrews in Scottland, centered on the History of Political Thought. He has authored, edited, and made scholarly contributions to nearly 80 books and authored thousands of articles, both popular and scholarly. | | In September of 2006, just a year after the founding of the CornwallAlliance, Dr. Beisner was called as an expert witness to provide testimony to the U.S. Senate on the economics and ethics of climate and energy policy.

Book Recommendations | | God's Purpose for Planet Earth Designed for its Enduring Purpose by Bob Linn | If you opened this newsletter to know more about coupled nonlinear fluid dynamic chaotic systems, you’ve come to the right place. Sort of. Actually, I am using phraseology from Wednesday’s guest speaker in his interview with Sandy Rios. He was describing the earth’s climate.
While you will not find that in Genesis One, it is indeed descriptive of the climate our Creator fashioned. Don’t fret, however. Dr. Beisner is an engaging audience-friendly communicator. He is fluent in listener-friendly verbiage. You will find new appreciation for the kind of a planet God made for you. A planet designed to faithfully carry all mankind through the full extent of divinely ordained history. | In some quarters, the Church has been sucked into the secularist spin on the planet’s welfare (global warming/climate change). Some Christians are impressed with the politically motivated babble of Al Gore, the leader of the Global Warming throng. | Actually, Al Gore struggled in his science classes. All of them. His highest grade was a C. The rest were all D’s, and F’s.
The Gore academic records were discovered by two Pulitzer-winning journalists.

There is more which should concern Christians who are caught up in the political issues of climate confusion. More than the incompetence of Al Gore to discuss anything in the realm of science. | If the Church knows anything, it should know the Biblical foundations of history. The earth did not come out of a chaotic primeval past grounded in random chance. It is, rather, a product of an organized and thoughtful eternity. | The very foundations of the planet are in the well-organized and eternal mind of its Creator. It was not created just to see what would happen. It was a creation with a purpose. An earth with an eco-system designed to carry mankind to his divinely ordained destination. | God designed and created an ecological system more than adequate to fulfill His purposes. You know … that coupled nonlinear fluid dynamic chaotic system I mentioned at the outset.
Dr. Beisner appreciated the conclusions of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on climate change.
Their 2001 assessment report confessed that because the climate is a coupled nonlinear fluid dynamic chaotic system, predicting climate futures is impossible. | Mankind, the pinnacle of God’s creation, is mantled with the responsibility to manage the creation in a way that develops the latent potential of the earth.
Ultimately, the earth is the Lord’s. He created it for His own purposes. Man is central to that purpose. The defining characteristic of the Kingdom of God is the rule of man as God’s representative. God ruling through His image bearer. | The earth was born out of eternity and has an eternal destiny. We must view of the planet in this eternal context.

Humanity alone of all the created order is capable of developing other resources and can thus enrich creation, so it can properly be said that the human person is the most valuable resource on earth. | Quoting Dr. Beisner:
Public policies to combat exaggerated risks can dangerously delay or reverse the economic development necessary to improve not only human life but also human stewardship of the environment.
The poor, who are most often citizens of developing nations, are often forced to suffer longer in poverty with its attendant high rates of malnutrition, disease, and mortality; as a consequence, they are often the most injured by such misguided, though well-intended, policies. | I look forward to seeing many of you this Wednesday at Twin Hills! | Dr. James Taylor Impeachment | J.T. on IMPEACHMENT
Dr. Taylor was articulate and well-informed. Just as he always is! He noted that rumors of a pending plan for impeachment surfaced immediately after the Trump victory.

Once there, you will note that Oklahoma's own Tom Cole may not live up to the advertising he placed on his billboards.
If you've seen them, they are the ones which label him as the consummate conservative.

James was able to bring the comparisons to a fine point with the following meme which compares four members of The Squad to Tom Cole. | The Conservative Review rated Tom Cole at 32%. See them here.
A few more items of interest:
Cole voted with The Squad, Kendra Horn, and Nancy Pelosi, on the Farmworkers Amnesty Bill. This gives a million illegal farmworkers amnesty. Other than Horn, a Democrat, none of the other Oklahoma Representatives voted for this bill.
Cole voted with The Squad, Kendra Horn, and Pelosi on October 16, 2019, on H.J. Resolution 77, opposing the withdrawal from Syria. Again, he was the only one of our Oklahoma Congressmen to vote for this. The other Republicans voted “No.”
On October 30, 2019, Adam Andrzejewski from Open the Books was on the Tucker Carlson Show talking about corruption in government. Their purpose is transparency in government--finding corruption. They featured a top corrupt Democrat and Republican. The top Republican they featured was Tom Cole. See the report here.
