Merry Christmas
by Bob Linn
In just two days, nations and cultures all over the world will celebrate the advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ, the seed of Abraham, is the focus of the season. Promises that Abraham and his descendants would be a blessing to the nations linger no more as a distant hope.

The long-awaited Christ has come! He has charged us to make the nations His disciples. (Micah 4:2; Matt 28: 18-20.)
This season, Handel’s Messiah will fill concert halls in nations all over the world. This music will trumpet Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Bach’s inspiration for his Magnificat was taken verse by verse from Mary’s response to the news that the long-awaited incarnation would come through her. (Luke 1:46-55.)

Mary was quite a Bible scholar as evidenced by the theological depth of her comments recorded in Luke’s first chapter.

She reviews the past and sees into the future!
Mary employs the phraseology of King Nebuchadnezzar found in the book of Daniel. Daniel 4:1-3 quotes this Babylonian king. He gives quite an appropriate description of Christianity, its Messiah, and Christ's mission to fulfill His promises to Abraham.

Keeping in mind both Handel’s Messiah and Mary’s Magnificat, this Babylonian king, converted to Christianity, gives quite an appropriate statement for this Christmas season below:
Hebrews 11:26 tells us that Moses converted to Christ while in Egypt. For this reason, Jesus was able to say (Luke 24:27) that Moses wrote of Him (as did all the prophets)!

Christianity germinated 6,000 years ago in Eden. It was articulated boldly in Genesis 3:15. It grew incrementally, touching the nations through Rahab, Ruth, Naaman, and, of course, King Nebuchadnezzar. Beginning with the Apostle Paul, it has now spread in much power to the nations of the earth. By virtue of the power and authority of which Christ spoke in Matthew 28, it forms the very foundation for some of their constitutions.

May we be found faithful to the Savior’s last command to continue to disciple them!

TWO WEEK'S AGO
For those of you who missed our luncheon with Marc Nuttle two weeks ago, consider ordering his book, Moment of Truth. The byline of this book reads:
How Our Government's Addiction To Spending and Power Will Destroy Everything That Makes America Great.

Again, thank you, Marc, for generously giving us two hours of your time to speak and answer our many questions.

We need of Marc's leadership now more than ever!

Letter to Chick fil A
Add your signature today!

A few week's ago, the president of the American Family Association sent a very kindly worded letter to the CEO of Chick fil A asking for clarification of statements made by Chick fil A leadership.

The issue, of course, is their withdrawal of support of Christian organizations in order to fund, instead, leftist and LGBTQ causes. Read Tim's letter here.

Adding your signature to the letter will help Chick fil A to understand that we are concerned. Your signature will encourage them to break their silence to the questions raised by AFA. Add your signature here.

Dr. Everett Piper
Dr. Piper is one of God's choice men. He is leading the way in the American Church and in the American Christian University by calling for a return to epistemological bedrock. I urge those of you who have not read his book, Not A Day Care: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth, to order a copy today. It is available very inexpensively here.
