Judge Bill Graves, author of OCPAC's book of the month here. | | Socialism and the American Crisis by Bob Linn | The nations whose light shine brightest in terms of the progress of their civilizations are those most influenced by their Christian foundations. Western Civilization is code-terminology for Christian Civilization.
In the mid 1600’s, three nations made the Solemn League and Covenant their fundamental governmental document. The national governments of Scotland, Ireland, and Great Britain made public and formal commitments to extend the Kingdom of Christ through Christian kingdoms and commonwealths.
It says, in part, " ...the three kingdoms of Scotland, England, and Ireland; agreed upon by ...both houses of Parliament in England...by King Charles II June 23, 1650...Having before our eyes the glory of God, and the advancement of the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ... this covenant we make in the presence of Almighty God ... to the glory of God, the enlargement of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and the peace and tranquility of Christian kingdoms and commonwealths."

This amazing political development was fruit of the same Puritan influences responsible for the development of the original twelve American colonies. It was this Puritan influence which provided the theological foundations for the political resolve in the 1700s to terminate our subordinate status with Great Britain.
It is on this foundation that our free economic markets and our prosperity is founded. It is on this foundation that the morality so important to a free people is based. | In contrast are the political ideologies of nations which stem from autonomous human thought (ideas men have which are not based on Scripture). Regrettably, human autonomy is a hallmark of much of the American church. Political ideas untethered to Scripture have made inroads into the church through cultural Marxism. Forced re-distribution of wealth is considered a good thing by many in the Church today. British missiologist, Dr. Andrew Kirk, advocates socialism and the coerced wealth re-distribution it comes with. (Missiology is an area of practical theology that investigates the mandate, message, and mission of the Christian church. The road to the pseudo-security and the pseudo-liberation of socialism is forbidden to the Christian. Socialism is a form of Statism. Statism replaces God by usurping Divine Law and replacing it with man’s law. | Dr. Joseph Boot points out that statism seeks to imitate Divine providence by offering cradle to grave welfare. It replaces Divine predestination with social planning. Rather than looking to the incarnate Word, secularism implements man’s word. We need no atonement from Christ when we have political reparations, payments, and the politics of guilt. America's future is tied to the health of its pulpits, seminaries, and Christian universities. Until this trend toward statism is stopped, the future of American culture, politics, and ecclesiastical health will continue in sharp decline.

According to LifeSiteNews, Target department stores are not only offering clothing and accessories celebrating the gay lifestyle to adults and children, but the company has also pledged to donate to a nonprofit that trains students and teachers in LGBT politics and advocacy.
Target's website has several pages dedicated to products that promote the LGBT lifestyle, many of which are specifically designed for children. For example, Target offers shirts that declare, "Love my dads," and another says, "Love my moms." Others shirts are emblazoned with the rainbow flag bearing the word "pride" superimposed.
Target is also donating $100,000 to the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization whose primary focus in on indoctrinating school-aged students into organizing "gay" clubs in public schools across the nation.
For adults, there are the "Pride Adult Gender Inclusive Iridescent Five Panel Hat," "Pride Striped Bisexual Flag Bandana," "Pride Striped Transgender Flag Bandana," "Pride Adult Striped Gender Inclusive Jumpsuit," and a number of other accessories and articles of clothing.

| AFA has engaged with Walmart on the issue of promoting homosexual dating in their stores.
Around Valentine's Day, AFA was alerted that Walmart had launched a gay dating ad on their Facebook page. Citing concerns over the promotion and normalization of homosexuality, AFA and OneMillionMoms.com launched petitions that garnered over 190,000 signers asking Walmart President Doug McMillon to remove the video.
As a result of the petition, senior executives with AFA met with senior executives at Walmart where objections to the video ad were strongly and respectfully articulated. This led to a forthright and engaging discussion about the matter.
The video has rotated off the company's Facebook video spotlight, but remains on the page. AFA asked Walmart to remain neutral on the promotion of homosexuality, and we believe that our concerns were heard. AFA will continue to monitor Walmart as it pertains to the LGBTQ agenda.
AFA has welcomed the opportunity to engage with Walmart on this issue. Thousands of AFA supporters have exhibited their commitment to Christian values in signing the petition. Sign the AFR petition to PBS Kids today urging the network to pull this episode, “Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone,” immediately, and no longer air it or future episodes featuring same sex couples.
