2. Christ and Washington D. C. Architecture by Bob Linn
Modern architecture has fallen on hard times ushered in by Modernism and its minimalist abstract aesthetics. George Weigel’s The Cube and the Cathedral: Europe, America, and Politics without God does a masterful job of articulating this element of our impending cultural demise. ( Amazon carries it.)

While I am not a Catholic, it has been one of my favorite reads. Weigel does a masterful job describing how our architecture reveals our cultural dilemma.
Award-winning Christian architect, Daniel Lee points out that “ before the Modern period, works of art were often loaded with meaning as we expressed our understanding of the relationship between transcendent Truth and daily life, and this is the mindset Christians must reclaim … When an architect designs, it should be for the glory of God and an act of worship before him.”
U.S. House of Representatives
While those who inhabit our nation’s capital do not reflect its architectural statements, Washington’s most important landmarks, monuments, and buildings clearly preach Christ and his Word! Prominently displayed in both the House and Senate Chambers is the declaration, “In God We Trust”.
The Christian Baptism of Pocahontas
On display in the Rotunda is the prayer service for Christopher Columbus, the Baptism of Pocahontas, and the Bible study of the Pilgrims. The Ten Commandments appear almost everywhere, including the Library of Congress and in many locations throughout the Supreme Court building.
Clearly, the court neither obeys them nor supports the rights of individual states to display them. As evidenced here and here .

Fortunately, no one is calling for an ecclesiastical convention to "tweak" the Law of Moses. As with Israel of old, our problem is with people and not with the Law!

Frankly, after hearing Ryan Walters speak last week on our constitution, I can only hope Oklahoma will rescind it's call to "tweak" this fine document!

This Wednesday, Dr. Steve Kern will demonstrate the Christian foundations of the U.S. Constitution. Many, even within the church community deny this proposition in spite of even the architectural statements on prominent display in Washington, D.C.
Join us at OCPAC. If not eating our $7 lunch, we ask for a $2 donation to Olivet Baptist Church to pay for utilities. THANKS!
I'd like to invite you to bring your children and grandchildren to the weekly OCPAC meetings. Build a foundation for the role of Biblical thought in their political views. Only as we train our future leaders will we be able to anticipate the maturing of the Kingdom of God expressed both through the church and through the State.

Last week, Ryan Walters drew standing ovation!
This young man is a real gem. He is an excellent academic with outstanding communication skills.

We are looking forward to great things from him both in the classroom as well as in even larger platforms.

You'll be seeing more of him at OCPAC!

Be sure to watch the video !
LAST WEEK
THE COLORADO LEGISLATURE
ENDORSES LGBTQ+ AGENDA
Last week, Stephen Black spent a few minutes reporting on his testimony before the Colorado Legislature regarding their desire to pass the ruse called "conversion therapy" legislation.

They showed absolutely no interest in the well documented information. Rather they were enthralled by a male cross-dresser in high heels. None on the LGBTQ+ side made any reference to research. Yet, the legislature loved the dress, the behavior, and the banter from the community who call themselves "queer".

You will want to listen to the opening of last week's OCPAC video to hear his presentation!
