Published Monday, January 9, 2023 WE ARE MEETING This Wednesday at NOON Central Oklahoma Home Builders THE IMPACT OF ONE DAD HE TELLS HIS STORY THIS WEDNESDAY In 1939, Columbia Pictures produced a story about an ordinary citizen who transformed Washington, D.C. It was a box office success trailing only Gone with the Wind as the highest grossing movie in the 1930s. The film starred Jimmy Stewart and was titled Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, an ordinary citizen who stood firm on principle. Riley Flack, this week's OCPAC Foundation speaker, brought that story to mind. Riley is a Navy veteran from Stillwater, Oklahoma. When he discovered that the Stillwater Schools were allowing boys in the girls bathrooms last February, he entered into combat mode to protect his daughter. Riley soon brought Oklahoma's Secretary of Education to Stillwater's school board meeting. The issues Riley addressed with the school board were more than boys in girls bathroom. Riley made national news when he addressed all the pornographic books the school board was making available to the children. He raised public awareness of the issue and helped bring it to the forefront of the Oklahoma Legislature. His action protected his daughters from the moral decay of the Stillwater Schoolboard. Riley made national news and appeared on Laura Ingraham's Angle and Jesse Watter's World (FOX). Riley and his story are a shining example of the impact one person can have in correcting public policy. It is an example of the role the Christian community should play in fostering the health of the community. Watch him address the school board here. Oklahoma's youth will soon lead us. Frank Keating | Robert Hefner V BOB LINN The French Revolution has come to America Godless secularism defined the French Revolution. It is an ideology which devastated France. The godly ideals which motivated the American Revolution produced a government which has endured into its third century. The secular revolution of France birthed more than a dozen different governments and fostered the French misery which inspired Victor Hugo's 1832 novel, Les Misérables. Secularism produces chaos and death. It represents the same threat to the American classroom. In June of 2017, best-selling author Os Guinness stated:  The culture war now at its deepest roots is actually a clash between 1776, what was the American Revolution, and 1789 and heirs of the French Revolution. When William Federer included the above quote this weekend in his American Minute, he went on to note that: The American Revolution was preceded by a Great Awakening Christian Revival, but in contrast, France's Revolution was preceded by the eroding of morals by lewd theater, brazen infidelity and Voltaire's anti-Christian philosophy.  Robespierre and the French Revolution tore down statues, defiled churches and desecrated graves in an effort to erase France's Christian heritage. Yale President Timothy Dwight wrote July 4, 1798: "About the year 1728, Voltaire, so celebrated for his wit and ... his hatred of Christianity ... formed a systematical design to destroy Christianity and to introduce in its stead a general diffusion of irreligion and atheism.”  The atheism and the bloody nature of the French Revolution’s slaughter of its own people became the model of all subsequent socialist revolutions.  The moral and academic turbulence in Oklahoma’s classrooms is founded in atheism. Atheism and its moral relativism are the centerpiece of revolutions. One of Italy’s preeminent political thinkers and philosophers, Augusto Del Noce observed that atheism is not an accessory element of Marxist revolutions, but rather, it is the most important and foundational element. He noted that Marxist revolutions require that ethics be subordinated to the progress of the revolution.  Secularism, in a partnership with its most closely-related corollary, atheism, enables a culture to become comfortable with moral chaos. It is what propelled the American sexual revolution. It is why today in our Oklahoma classrooms, school boards see nothing wrong with pornography and are happy to promote gender theory to our children. It is what will bring America to its knees if we do not articulate clearly its danger and provide leadership in a better direction. SECULARISM AND ATHEISM REPRESENT POLITICAL HELL TO ITS CITIZENS The West was built by leaders who understood the foundational role Christianity plays in the building of civilizations. If we are to restore what Western Civilization bequeathed to us, we must restore education. Hungarian Prime Minister, Victor Orbán, is successfully rebuilding Hungary because he understands the vital importance of foundations. Orbán has stated: The European crisis has not come by chance but by the carelessness and neglect of their responsibilities by leaders who have questioned precisely those Christian roots.   Christianity is the foundation of Western Civilization. It is the irreplaceable fabric of a civilized society. In 1998, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote Russia in Collapse. He closes his Russia in Collapse by quoting an elderly Orthodox woman who said, “None of us need a Russia without God.” The path to recovery of our founding American ideals required a return to the Bible that shaped those ideals. When we have to pass legislation banning pornography in our children's schools, we have lost our way as a culture. You came to this world with nothing but My love for you, And it is this unfailing love that will see you through. “Nothing of the future is left to chance; nay, not the falling of a sparrow nor the losing of a hair is left to haphazard, but all life events are arranged and appointed. Bob reviewed on of Ronal Reagan's favorite researcher of the communist infiltration in America, W. Cleon Skousen. Skousen's The Naked Communist was promoted by Dr. Ben Carson on Fox News as an accurate and thorough presentation of the communist party in America. The book is a resource for the 45 goals of the communists in America which are recorded in the U.S. Congressional records. Matthew Lohmeier's book, Irresistible Revolution is available at OCPAC Foundation meetings and can also be ordered on Amazon. Christian patriots filled the History Center's Chesapeake room to hear first-hand where we are in our military's policy on communism and Marxism. Many gave to the cause and received an autographed book from Matt. WE MUST REPAIR OKLAHOAM EDUCATION Former Governor Frank Keating, as always, provided powerful reasons to turn the reins of the taxpayer educational dollar back to the parent. Robert Hefner V provided reasons we must better educate our youth in the science of energy and counter the globalist's misinformation campaign of catastrophic global warming. Senator Shane Jett spoke of the Foundation's vision of using our media to impact the state and the nation.
