Chris has met with thousands of individuals including law-makers and found mostly a positive reception to his message. Watch a one-minute video of Chris here. His website describes gender identity as a pseudo-religious movement which claims that children can be born in the wrong body. It is an alternate reality that for thousands of children have spelled tragedy for the remainder of their lives. What is intolerable is the fact that the practice is being pushed with taxpayer funding through our secondary schools and our institutions of higher education. Even our hospitals and our medical community are complicit. The Billboard Chris website says this about gender identity: It is entirely based on stereotypes. Children are taught that it is their interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes which determine their gender. School materials literally say: if boys like Barbie dolls and dancing, they might actually be a girl. Girls struggling with adolescence, with puberty, with anxiety, etc. are especially vulnerable to this craze, as covered so well in Abigail Shrier’s book, ‘Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters’. Instead of encouraging gender nonconformity, and rejecting regressive gender stereotypes, children are now taught to embrace the stereotypes to the point of physically harming their bodies. They are taught that they have boy brains or girl brains, or a gendered soul. This is wholly unscientific nonsense. Thousands of children are now being sent to gender clinics, where they receive ONLY affirmation of this idea, and they are quickly sent on a medical pathway which includes puberty blockers, opposite-sex hormones, and surgery. We applaud this week's speaker for his work to awaken a sleeping culture from the terror of a tyranny who has declared war against mankind. Chris Elston, aka Billboard Chris, was recently a special guest on the Tucker Carlson show where he explained his national campaign to raise awareness of the barbarism found in our nation’s hospitals. Young people are having their body parts removed in response to the gender dysphoria being promoted in our public schools. Because of his massive following on Twitter, when Senator Shane Jett discovered he would be in Oklahoma this week, he asked him to speak to OCPAC. So, we have postponed our planned presentation by Wade Burleson. His topic of gender mutilation of minors is unveiling the sinister and grotesque elements of our American hospitals. The comparison of American realities with the fantasies of Mary Shelley's 19th century classic horror novel is not unreasonable. Frankenstein Emerges in the 21st Century as Oklahoma Children’s Body Parts are Removed It was only a couple of months ago that OCPAC Foundation became aware that the O.U. Children’s Hospital was facilitating and actively expediting irreversible gender-related surgeries and hormone injections. Life-altering surgeries and injections to minors. Find the September 26 article here. Many of us quickly spoke to members of the Board of Regents and made phone calls which have stopped the practice. The problem is, of course, that Victor Frankenstein, the main protagonist in Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic novel, Frankenstein, the Modern Prometheus, is still employed at O.U. Children’s Hospital. Of course, that is a bit of an understatement. We have yet to count just how many of the medical and administrative staff at the hospital were active participants in the many mutilations in which the hospital played an active role. Mary Shelly shaped her protagonist after a few academics who were known to meddle in the science of manipulating human body parts. Were she still alive today, physicians and administrators in hospitals from coast to coast would no doubt inspire her to write an even more grotesque and frightening novel. The cultural transformation of Oklahoma’s youth that is taking place in the public classroom seems to have matured overnight. It is the unions which represent our administrators and teachers who have been forcing alternate realities into our children’s classrooms. Last July, the NEA announced its formal decision to promote sexual grooming and concepts of gender fluidity in the classroom of our secondary schools. See the July 18, 2022 OCPAC article here. Predictably, there has been a national uprising of parents unwilling to submit their children to this kind of life-altering and destructive abuse. Parental attendance at school board meetings is at an all-time high. On Monday, August 29, I quoted the National Education Association (NEA/OEA) assault on America’s Christian family values. The NEA and Oklahoma’s OEA promotes “Queer" identities and the transition these young people embark upon as they grope for a gender identity. Find the August 29, 2022 OCPAC newsletter here. On the heels of the NEA’s convention, National Review ran as a top story the intent of a Virginia lawmaker to criminalize parental intervention on behalf of their children if the school’s indoctrination regarding multiple gender identities ran contrary to what parents know is actually true. Should a Virginia school successfully manage to confuse their child as to their gender, Democrat Elizabeth Guzman intends to see parents prosecuted if they refuse to go along with the government’s disoriented version of reality. This is in line with the militant posture of the National School Board Association (NASB) who asked President Joe Biden to activate the U.S. Department of Justice to deal with parents who wish to provide input at school board meetings and who are upset about the academic content of the classrooms. The NASB referred to parents as “domestic terrorists.” More here. The far left wants to suppress speech, as it lacks the scholarship to defend the alternate realities it spins. Mythology simply cannot withstand the assault of reality and arguments grounded in truth. That is why every member of the leftist army from the White House to social media are so active in the suppression of free speech. _____________ We are Winning Battles. STATEWIDE Ignoring tens of millions of leftist attack ads, Oklahomans just elected a Governor and State Superintendent of Public Instruction who have every intention of ridding our classrooms of that which would have been considered an abomination by the historic standards of Western values. ___________ UNIVERSITY of OKLAHOMA We also won a victory last week at O.U. Through a conversation with one of the O.U. Regents, I learned that the O.U. Board of Regents just adopted the Chicago Statement. THE CHICAGO STATEMENT In July of 2014, University of Chicago President Robert J. Zimmer and Provost Eric D. Isaacs called for a policy “articulating the University’s overarching commitment to free, robust, and uninhibited debate and deliberation among all members of the University’s community.” The “Chicago Statement” was adopted in January of 2015. Here is a truncated version of the principles adopted by the University of Chicago in 2015 and last week by the University of Oklahoma: Education should not be intended to make people comfortable, it is meant to make them think. Universities should be expected to provide the conditions within which hard thought, and therefore strong disagreement, independent judgment, and the questioning of stubborn assumptions, can flourish in an environment of the greatest freedom Because the University is committed to free and open inquiry in all matters, it guarantees all members of the University community the broadest possible latitude to speak, write, listen, challenge, and learn. It is not the proper role of the University to attempt to shield individuals from ideas and opinions they find unwelcome, disagreeable, or even deeply offensive. Mutual respect can never be used as a justification for closing off discussion of ideas, however offensive or disagreeable those ideas may be to some members of our community. Find more here. WADE BURLESON Chairman of the Board THE DEPTH OF THE CONSTITUTION The non-profit I lead is called Istoria Ministries. Istoria is a Greek word that means "story." We get our English word history from this Greek word. I love getting to know people and their unique, individual stories. This past spring, the Tulsa World's editorial board asked me to sit for an interview with them before the newspaper endorsed their preferred candidate for United States Congress (OK-3). I enjoyed the two-hour interview. I caught them off-guard by asking the eight members of the editorial board questions about their lives and stories. I established some personal rapport with them all. They seemed to like me as a person.  But then the atmosphere turned cold when they asked me about my principles.  I told them I was a Christian and a Constitutionalist. They didn't probe about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, but they did ask this question:  "What do you mean you are a Constitutionalist?" I gave them a lesson on the Laws of Nature and Nature's God (from The Declaration of Independence) and how the Constitution of the United States codifies "the rules of moral conduct implanted by the God of Nature and the human mind, forming the proper basis for all good government."  They looked at me cross-eyed. I could tell they were not used to discussing abstract principles like Natural Law. They then asked me about homosexual marriage and if I would support it as Constitutional.  I said, "No. I said. I would not." They then asked me to clarify. I spoke clearly:  "In Nature, you never see two cows copulating for the creation of a calf."  It was like a bolt of lightning entered the room. The eight members of the editorial board froze. It was silent - for a long time.  I explained that truth is fixed, and the Laws of Nature are established by the Creator.  In our progressive and liberal times of relative truth and gender self-declaration, the Constitution is being subverted by people more in love with themselves than their Creator.  You can probably guess I was not the Tulsa World's endorsed Congressional candidate.  The U.S. Senate approved legislation this week that protects same-sex marriages, codifying many of the rights that would disappear if the U.S. Supreme Court were to rule such protections unconstitutional (which they are).  OCPAC Foundation exists to preserve the Constitutional principles that made the United States the center of Liberty worldwide. Those elected to Congress swear an oath to protect the Constitution from "enemies, both foreign and domestic."  You can never defend the Constitution without an understanding of the Laws of Nature.
