Published Monday, November 21, 2022 | | A note from OCPAC FOUNDATION PRESIDENT BOB LINN | HOW WORDS HAVE EVANGELIZED NATIONS THROUGH MUSICAL ADORNMENT
The origin of the cosmos was verbal. We know this from the opening chapter of Genesis. There we learn that because “God said,” and there came light, the cosmos, and ultimately, our First Parents.
The War of Good versus Evil is Being Waged with Words
The assault on Oklahoma’s educational system and our American Republic is verbal. As Sir Roger Scruton noted in his book Fools, Frauds, and Firebrands:
The first concern of revolutionary movements on the left has been to capture the language, to change reality by changing the way we describe and therefore the way we perceive it.
Or, as George Orwell put it in his 1984:
Newspeak was the official language of Oceana and had been devised to meet the ideological needs of English Socialism. Newspeak was designed not to extend but to diminish the range of thought. | | Even our dictionaries are cooperating with the communist insurgence into our schools.
The Cambridge Dictionary has joined Merriam-Webster in changing the definition of “Woman” and “Man.” One definition of “Woman” states, “An adult who lives and identifies as female though they have been said to have a different sex at birth.” David Harsanyi comments, “Ideas are corrupting language, and language is corrupting thought.” | | Find more from last weekend's Agenda.
The Word Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us
All this came to my mind because we are all scurrying this week to prepare for the trappings which surround an event which took a very young teenage girl by complete surprise.
Mary would give birth to the one the Apostle John called The Word. Her depth of knowledge of the Word of God has been on public display for more than 2,000 years just 46 verses into in Luke’s Gospel.
The devout Christian, Johann Sebastian Bach, set Mary’s testimony to music in preparation for the Christmas festivities in Leipzig in 1723 in a twelve-movement oratorio.
Not quite 20 years later, in 1741, George Frederic Handel composed the Messiah, also putting the Word of God to music. It has become an international Christmas classic. He signed it “SDG” (Soli Deo Gloria/To God be the Glory). Something Bach was also known to do. | | Commenting on the Messiah, Handel said:
I did think I did see all heaven before me, and the great God Himself.
Shortly before his death, Handel expressed that he was:
In hopes of meeting his good God, his sweet (precious) Saviour, on the day of His resurrection.

Upon hearing the Hallelujah Chorus, England’s King George II stood to his feet. The words of the Biblical text Handel selected combined with his music has had a massive impact the world over. ________
The Messiah in Beijing
Messiah was performed at China’s Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing) in December of 2001. It was only the second performance since the Chinese Communist Party took over in 1949. It was the first time that the work was sung in Chinese in a concert hall instead of a church. | | The conductor was the devout Christian and well-known conductor, Su Wenxing (苏文星) . Of his conducting the Messiah, he said, "Many great composers such as Bach and Handel were loyal Christians. Since I became a Christian, I have had a new understanding of them and interpret them much better," he said. | | The China Source told the story here:
The applause lasted for ten minutes. A staff member of the theater said that this scene is too rare. The Messiah is incredible. For the climax of the world-famous Hallelujah chorus the audience stood up and sang softly. This scene was very impressive. The applause echoed in every corner of the theater, and with every curtain call of Conductor Su, the applause suddenly exploded. The flowers on the stage piled up. The audience continued their thunderous applause. For a young conductor, people gave the highest praise—Changming’s applause.
Pray that the magnificence of Bethlehem and the power of Jerusalem would overwhelm China! ________
The Words in Messiah Sung in Zulu
In 1993, Dr. Sam Shabalala made history by being the first black person to translate the Messiah into isiZulu. He is also a devout Christian who knows the power of the work Handel has given us. | | Listen to a very inspirational 5-minute, professionally recorded, presentation of the Durban, South Africa choir sing notable portions in isiZulu here.
The Light of the Word of God will overcome the Darkness of Orwellian Newspeak
God continues to move, as Mary noted in Luke’s recording of her “Magnificat,” from generation to generation. What began in Bethlehem and consummated in Jerusalem is the divine light which carries the blessings of Abraham to the nations as promised 4,000 years ago.
We must aggressively fight to prevent evil people from perverting the words we use to communicate. As we engage the culture, we must also know that the Word who flung the stars into space is laser-focused on the progression of mankind on earth. He will continue to provide both light and life. ________

WADE BURLESON Orwell, Newspeak, and Wikipedia
LAST WEEK Kyle Williams and Christmas in Enid | WADE BURLESON Orwell, Newspeak, and Wikipedia | ORWELL, NEWSPEAK, AND WIKIPEDIA
by Istoria Ministries Dec 15, 2022 This article has been edited for length and may be read in its entirety at Istoria. | Forcing a nation to change its language and vocabulary becomes the means to deceive and manipulate the masses to move from a society characterized by individual liberty to a country of governmental tyranny.
In George Orwell’s 1984, language becomes the mind-control tool of evil forces. Their goal is to destroy the will and imagination of the individual by forcing conformity to a new way of speaking. | | Orwell called it Newspeak. In Newspeak words no longer mean what they used to, and a refusal to comply with speaking the new language leads to punishment. Forced compliance to the country’s new language becomes the ultimate weapon of authoritarian and tyrannical leaders.
Orwell describes Newspeak as a fundamental tool for the ascent to power when he states that:
Newspeak was the official language of Oceana and had been devised to meet the ideological needs of English Socialism. Newspeak was designed not to extend but to diminish the range of thought. ~ Orwell, 1984
That is precisely why Wikipedia is so dangerous. The liberal activists who control the site are contributing to the destruction the Republic of the United States by forcing a change to our language. I am now banned as an editor of Wikipedia. | I had the audacity to use the pronoun “he” when I edited Sam Brinton’s page on Wikipedia.
Until last week, Sam Brinton served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy. He was in charge of Nuclear Waste in the United States.
Sam Brinton is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ and sexual transitioning. He is pictured prominently on the internet dressed in woman's clothing.
Joe Biden’s administration appointed him in the name of “equality.”
But this story is not about Sam, no matter how disturbed he may or may not be.
This story is about liberal activists controlling Wikipedia and forcing a language change in culture. It is a warning to Christians who refuse to resist because they think it is “loving and kind” to go along with Newspeak. | A society of liberty becomes a hierarchy of tyranny when good people give in to the demands to change their language into something nonsensical, illogical, and confusing.
In an entry to Wikipedia, Wayne Besen, an LGBTQ reporter, wrote about Sam’s claims of abuse. Sam has publicly stated that when a youth, his Southern Baptist Missionary Parents physically and emotionally abused him through shock therapy and other torture in an attempt to convert “we” (his pronoun) out of his gender confusion. | | Even though writer Wayne Besen is a part of the LGBTQ movement, he was compelled to challenge Sam’s story. However, he employed Newspeak to do it.
Here is how Besen (and Wikipedia) tell the story:
I reached out to Brinton, and they were oddly inaccessible, communicating indirectly through intermediary LGBTQ activists in the Boston area, where they were attending MIT. The reason for Brinton’s scarcity had to do with two simple questions I had asked them: Who was your conversion therapist and in which facility did the therapy occur?
~Wayne Besen, Too Good To Be True.
In case the comments leave you a bit confused, here is how the story would read if using proper English:
Writer Wayne Besen reached and to Sam Brinton and he was inaccessible, communicating with Besen indirectly through intermediary LGBTQ activists in the Boston area, where he was attending MIT. The reason for Brinton’s scarcity had to do with two simple questions that Wayne Besen had asked him. Who was your conversion therapist and in which facility did the therapy occur?
Resist the Attempt to Change Your Language In the words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Live Not by Lies! | For using the proper biological pronoun “he” on Wikipedia in a recent edit, I am banned for a year as an editor of Wikipedia.
I have a friend named Matthew Lohmeier. Matthew, the first Commander of the United States Space Force, wrote Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal of Conquest and the Unmaking of the American Military.
Matthew Lohmeier reveals the undoing of the American military began with a “change in the language” within the instruction manuals of our military.
When discussing the way language is weaponized to assault a nation, Matthew notes in his book how language was used in Mao’s Cultural Revolution. He tells the story of Fan Shen, former Chinese Revolutionary, and author of the book, Gang of One.
Lohmeier writes in Irresistible Revolution:
Revolutionaries were engaged in a relentless effort to expose and destroy “hidden enemies” of the revolution. One of the ways they did that was by constantly changing language and altering the meaning of words, watching who would adopt the new vocabulary and who would accept it. Shen recollects that it became a “totally confusing war of words. | | President Joe Biden fired Matthew because of this erudite and prescient book.
He’s flying to Oklahoma next week to speak to a group of concerned Oklahomans at The Oklahoma History Center. | Marxists always make a change in standard, logical language the first move in destroying a country’s culture and government.
American citizens, I urge you not to succumb to the forced language change in our country. Newspeak must be resisted at all costs. Refusing to change our pronouns when we speak and write about other people is a low-cost, effective way to fight to keep our country from turning into Orwell’s 1984.
I’m praying for Sam Brinton. I will, however, never be a party to his and others’ attempts to force me to use the pronoun “they” when referring to him.
I love this country too much. | KYLE WILLIAMS ENID CHRIST TREE | Kyle Williams has established a model for cities all over the state. Actually, he is an example for every city in the world.
