I was able to get through most of Wednesday, but spent the rest of the week convalescing.
As a result, I am giving Steve Anderson my article this week.
Steve's article is an excellent commentary of the many Democrats who pretend to be Republicans in order to hold office.
There are many important developments in Oklahoma politics. Former Cabinet Secretary, David Ostrowe, has filed a $60 million dollar lawsuit against the State of Oklahoma over former Attorney General Mike Hunter's political assassination of his career.
Toward the end of this newsletter, I make some comments about the office of the State Auditor and its origins in the State Constitution.
However, the most important section of this newsletter for the political crisis at hand follows this section. Be sure to become involved in eviscerating evil by joining us through sending emails and making phone calls.
But first, here is Steve Anderson ... | _________________________ | The Democrat RINOs and the Damage They Do
~Steve Anderson | I think all of us have now seen what a real RINO looks like or more appropriately a Democrat disguised as a RINO in Joy Hofmeister. | Many of us have been troubled by her very un-Republican behavior from her initial appearance as a ‘Republican’ which continued after being elected State Superintendent of Schools. Her recent announcement that she was running for Governor as a Democrat was not a surprise to most conservatives.
Some may not remember but there was a stampede of re-registrations from Democrat to Republican when the two chambers under the Dome became fully controlled by the Republicans. Nowhere was it more prevalent than in the bureaucracy where the lifelong Democrats assumed, and sadly quite correctly, that changing parties and giving lip service to conservatism was enough to con the general population into believing they were in fact 'converted'. | We now have a number of key bureaucrats, legislators and at least one four-year office holder that are still Democrats in hiding. | If you have been following Bob Linn's attempt to get some clarity on who conspired to create the fake fiscal need for $30 million in taxpayer funds at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) and those that had oversight responsibility but looked the other way, you know that two of the state's elected officials---both Republican, have been roadblocks to getting the full story.
I refer to former Attorney General Mike Hunter and State Auditor and Inspector Cindy Byrd. Remember not ONE person was charged and just a couple named in the audit and investigation of the scandal! | The former AG has since the start of Mr. Linn's Open Record Requests been linked in an extra marital affair with the former COO of OSDH. His office prior to his being exposed and leaving office sent what can only be called an intimidation letter seeking to block Mr. Linn's continued requests for records.
It turns out that the AG is the General Counsel for the State Auditor. The question that lingers now that this relationship is known and both entities seemed to be intent on making access difficult is: WHY?
Mr. Linn asked that communications between the two state agencies be made public to let Oklahoman's know if there was collusion in either the audit or to block his record requests designed to protect certain individuals.
To this day, Ms. Byrd has remained silent on this issue.
To come full circle, it appears that the State Auditor is less Republican than she is the Democrat she was prior to changing her registration. She has made the process of tracing down the culprits in the OSDH scandal difficult to say the least and had zero interest in helping ensure that this sort of thing could not occur again.
But even more troubling than that---I know that is saying something-- she has acted as Joy Hofmeister’s attack dog on charter schools while looking the other way on the huge number of children trapped in horrible regular public schools. As of the last year schools were given grades there were 45,838 kids in the F-rated schools of which only 45 were in charter schools! | How can Oklahoma Republicans be embracing a State Auditor who seems to be fine with traveling the state extolling her role in helping Joy Hofmeister limit Oklahoma’s parental choice while 45,793 of our precious children are sentenced to failing public schools?
Epic Charter, which Ms. Byrd seems fixated on, did not have ONE OF THEIR SCHOOLS RECEIVE an F-RATING in those latest available ratings.
At least Joy Hofmeister finally admitted to being a Democrat. It is time that Cindy Byrd admits the same.
As Oklahomans, we should refuse to accept that we have sentenced children to failure by allowing the public-school establishment and their enablers to prevent school choice for parents so they may flee these failing schools. As Republicans we should not allow these RINO disguised Democrats to plague our party with their liberal dogma. | Please join us!

Hear her at the 22:00 minute mark on Facebook here. ___________ | CARL STEPHENS THE MAN WHO STOOD UP TO PAULS VALLEY SCHOOLS ...and they backed down! | Early this fall, Carl Stephens walked into the Paul's Valley Superintendents office to request information regarding the test results of the school. He was told by the Superintendent that he represented a hostile presence and would be arrested if he ever stepped foot on any of the Pauls Valley Schools.
To confirm it was not just bluster, he called the Pauls Valley Police. They conformed it was true.
So, after communicating with Oklahoma's Attorney General, John O'Connor, Garvin County District Attorney, Greg Mashburn, and Garvin County Sheriff, Jim Mullett, he chose to re-visit the Superintendent and was willing to be arrested.
However, the atmosphere hade bee reversed. He was granted an audience and treated as one who had complete authority to investigate school business.
He did not win his Purple Heart in WWII combat for no reason. And, he is an inspiration as he continues to fight the enemy who has now established fortifications within our American institutions.

Do you know someone interested in running for Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector? _____________________________ | THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STATE AUDITOR & INSPECTOR (SA&I) PUBLIC REQUESTS
While working these many months in our efforts to uncover what was behind the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) financial crisis, quite a bit of the research has turned upon the work of the Office of the Oklahoma State Auditor & Inspector (SA&I). Why?
Was it because we didn’t like SAI Cindy Byrd? While some have falsely attempted to portray this as a matter of a personal nature, quite simply, it is because the SA&I is tasked with examining the books of the State of Oklahoma (OK Constitution, Article 6).
How could we ever understand the OSDH dilemma without working closely with information from the office of the SA&I? Is it “picking” on the SA&I to demand the answers to the many questions that the taxpayers have about what occurred at the OSDH?
The SA&I is a state constitutionally enumerated executive office and not simply just another state agency.
Oklahoma State Constitution Article 6, Section 1: | “A. The Executive authority of the state shall be vested in a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Auditor and Inspector, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Commissioner of Labor, Commissioner of Insurance and other officers provided by law and this Constitution, each of whom shall keep his office and public records, books and papers at the seat of government, and shall perform such duties as may be designated in this Constitution or prescribed by law.” | What does it mean that a state officer would possess executive authority as granted by our state constitution?
Does it mean that such a state officer has the power to overrule the citizens or somehow that the citizens, as subjects, are beneath the edicts, plans and procedures of such an office? On the contrary, nothing could be further from the truth.
Our State Supreme Court has described this power and what it means quite clearly when it said the following:
“We have read much about the power to create carrying with it the power to destroy; we have heard much about the power to appoint implying the power to remove; but such considerations are in regard to power absolute. Executive power under our government is not power in the abstract. It is not the executive power of the King of Siam or the Sultan of Turkey, but it is such executive power as rises out of the Constitution and laws of our state. It is exactly the power, in any given case, of carrying the particular law, as it stands, into execution.” (See STATE ex rel. KING v. ROWE, 1931 OK 328, 1931)
We will continue to look further into how the law, as it stands, was carried into execution by the SA&I.
More specifically, whether or not the audits which were required to be conducted, by both State and Federal law, were conducted with the proper care and skill that such law requires. Were governmental accounting standards followed? Standards specifically laid out at great length and detail in such public documents as the Yellowbook.
How was there only a “perceived financial crisis” at one moment by the SA&I (when the matter was in all of the local news), then at a later time, the SA&I’s own audits revealed with specific clarity that the OSDH had improperly utilized government funds from the Ryan White Rebate Program?
We will obtain the documentation that will reveal what the SA&I was doing and why, regardless of their position. Beside the fact that these are Open Records, the SA&I’s office is required to tender those records as part of their executive duty.
State law recognizes a court's authority to issue an order "to compel the performance of any act which the law specially enjoins as a duty, resulting from an office, trust or station."
(See, State Highway Comm'n v. Green-Boots Const. Co., 1947 OK 221, ¶ 12, 187 P.2d 209)
The SA&I is not exempt from such an order.
There is still much work to be done in understanding the audit procedures being utilized for so many years that told us (the taxpayers) plainly, that there was nothing amiss at the OSDH, when in fact, once the problems were made public, the SA&I said something completely different. Stay tuned as we have much analysis and fact-finding yet to come. | PRESERVE OKLAHOMA'S FUTURE Help us Find an Auditor | WANTED
An honest, non-partisan Certified Public Accountant with a strong interest in protecting the financial interests of the citizens in their government.
Must be knowledgeable about all forms of audits and reviews and willing to apply that knowledge without reservation when carrying out the Constitutional and statutory requirements of the Office.
A successful candidate for this opening will strictly adhere to the requirement that any audit or review done by their office must be independent and performed only at the highest level of competency as defined by the Oklahoma Accounting Board’s rules for audit and review.
They must be willing without caveat to meet this obligation of the Office of the State Auditor and Inspector and not use the Office to pursue partisan objectives and/or to protect any elected official, state employee, company and/or individual.
