He once debated Anson Mount of Playboy Magazine regarding the role of the magazine in the decline of culture in America. The debate drew a crowd of thousands and garnered national attention. | | His story is much like the story of Dr. Everett Piper and Oklahoma Wesleyan. When Dr. Banowsky became President of now flourishing Pepperdine University, it was on the verge of collapse.
With the help of men like Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, and others, Pepperdine became a world-class university with a campus to match.
While President of the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Banowsky and Bob Linn, Director of Campus Crusade for Christ at O.U., worked together in a way quite unheard of anywhere. They both wished to reach the campus for Christ.
Before each left the university for other opportunities, Bob hosted the Oklahoma Leadership Luncheon featuring Governor George Nigh, Dr. Bill Bright, and other luminaries. Dr. Banowsky was one of the featured speakers.

Sign up to get your own copy here. | BOB LINN We Have Work to Do | Not too many years after my graduation from Indiana University, I found myself in the office of Dr. William S. Banowsky, President of the University of Oklahoma. I was the director for Campus Crusade for Christ at O.U. and met with him to discuss our presence on campus.
To my amazement, he was close friends with Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ. Dr. Bright had led him to Christ.
Needless to say, I was given red carpet treatment on the campus.
After having a similar meeting with Oklahoma Governor George Nigh, I arranged to host a state-wide leadership luncheon with Dr. Bright as our featured speaker. Thanks to Alan Loeffler, the audio recording of the meeting is still available. | The entire meeting was quite amazing. It is most amazing to hear an O.U. President speak so forcefully about the Word of God and its foundational place in society. We will get to hear that brief portion of the 1979 lunch meeting this coming Wednesday.
Since that time, the cultural tremors rumbling in the foundations of academia have begun to erupt with cataclysmic results.
In 1979, Dr. Robert Nisbet had just retired from Columbia after a long academic career. He observed then these tremors when he spoke of “the revolution of epistemological nihilism.”
The demise of academia has been a long war against the foundations of Christianity and its world of absolute truth. | Forty years earlier, Karl Mannheim published Ideology and Utopia and spoke of the absence of absolutes and the transitory nature of “truth.” He spoke of the “intellectual twilight which dominates our epoch.”
The foundations of American education, once resting securely on the Word of God, have shifted and given us the perverted sexual instruction which begins in Oklahoma's elementary schools.
Secular education, built on the sinking sand of epistemological myth, allows our school administrators and teachers to teach that white people are racists, innately oppressive, and use their power to force "white truth" on others.
I listened politely as one of Oklahoma’s superintendents expressed to me her disdain for HB 1775, a bill which simply says schools cannot teach that human ontology is grounded in skin color.
21st century academia is now defined by its commitment to the fruits of postmodernism, the fruit we know as Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality, and Social Justice. These ships of academia are adrift in a sea of darkness, and they cannot save themselves by binding themselves to each other.
No other human experiment has so shattered man’s apostate claim of intellectual autonomy as has the intellectual dilemmas of postmodernism. In his attempt to assume the role of God, man has fostered intellectual chaos. The arrogance of man has proven to be mankind’s path to destruction.
The path has produced devastating consequences. Last year, we watched cities burn. Today, we watched our government abandon thousands of Americans (so I am told) in Afghanistan. We are bracing for what is in store for us in 2022.
Historian Arnold Toynbee once described the ubiquity of ideas and the way in which they serve as a camouflage. Herbert Schlossberg followed up on Toynbee in his Idols for Destruction. Schlossberg wrote about the decline in American academia when he said, “In our age, the camouflage of which Toynbee speaks has consisted largely of the myths of secularity that people have wrapped around academic disciplines.” | Schlossberg went on to say that “Secularizing intellectuals thought they were ridding the house of the noumenal [ultimate absolutes] by sweeping religion out the door …Expelling Biblical presuppositions that were the only ones that could provide a foundation for rationality, we unwittingly invited the irrational to join us.”
How irrational? Dr. Jonathan Sarfati can give you a list. Dr. Sarfati, author of papers on nuclear and condensed matter physics, high-temperature super conductors, among many others, was publishing in mainstream scientific journals at the young age of 22. | This past weekend, Dr. Sarfati and a colleague were discussing a list of nonsensical evolutionary terms they called “Darwin’s Dictionary."
They mused over the pagan concept of the “Big Bang.” The idea that the universe began from nothing with an explosion. So, they say, there was nothing, and, then nothing just exploded.
The result is our children sitting in biology class learning about life’s origin in a void and its subsequent lack of purpose.
Things are the way they are because the church has retreated from cultural and political battle zones and surrendered the entire culture to paganism. | I often think of the words of General Hopper Smith when he addressed our group a few weeks ago regarding the political, military, and cultural quagmire of Afghanistan. Among his closing words were, “Only Jesus can save Afghanistan.”
The pulpits of the world have, over the past century, failed to ring with the intellectually commanding Word of God to the nations, cities, and families of the world whose only sustenance comes from their Creator and the Word He provides which is the very bread of life.
This Wednesday, I am inviting my old friend, Dr. William S. Banowsky, to come via recording. His comments, though brief, remind me of the failure of our generation to pick up the mantle of Christian leadership.
We have work to do.

They refuse to support Oklahoma HB 1775 because they like blame and shame more than selflessness and sacrifice
Sunday, May 2, 2021 | ANALYSIS/OPINION:
On April 29, 2021, the Oklahoma legislature voted in favor of House Bill 1775. | The actual tally was 70 yeas and 19 nays. Eighteen of the 19 who voted against this bill were Democrats.
All 70 supporting it were Republicans. | You might rightly ask what it is about this legislation that caused such a partisan divide. Why did absolutely no Democrats support it?
Well, let’s let the bill speak for itself.
Here’s what it says.
“HB 1775 is a new law that prohibits [any] teacher, administrator or other employee of a school district, charter school or virtual charter school [from teaching that] one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex.” | The bill then goes on to clarify that pursuant to the governor’s signature; it will, henceforth, be illegal in the state of Oklahoma for any educator to promote the idea that any human being “by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist or oppressive” or to teach that any person “should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex.”
Finally, HB 1775 unequivocally states that no public education at any level in the state of Oklahoma should include instruction that “moral character is necessarily determined by [a person’s] race or sex,” or that “an individual, by virtue of his or her race or sex, bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by other members of the same race or sex,” or [that any student] be told they should “feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her race or sex.”
So, I ask the question again: Why are Democrats standing nearly alone in opposing this bill?
The answer is simple. They are racists. They are sexists. They are bigots. | They are segregationists who seek to divide. They are adolescents stuck in a perpetual selfie of “me and mine” and “us versus them.” Their god is not found in the Bible but rather in the mirror. They are intellectually and epistemologically lost. They are Democrats.
In my book, I offer the following: | “When your god is diversity, unity will never be tolerated. Diversity is self-centered. At its core, it divides. It is grounded in the premise of me-against-you and us-against-them. It is childish. It is selfish. It is a perpetual whine.
“Children are, by nature, individualistic and insular. They don’t care about much other than themselves. They want what they want. Other people and their needs may never even cross their minds. Adults, to the contrary, see the wisdom of promoting unity rather than division, integration rather than segregation, a United States rather than a ‘divided states.’ Adults care more about the ‘first thing’ of personal righteousness than the ‘second things’ of our personal rights.
“When we reverse the order and focus on second things, we get neither the first nor the second. It is only by dying to self — that is, setting aside our childish individualism — that we discover the first thing about who we truly are and what we are meant to be. | “Our true identity isn’t found in race or gender. It isn’t found in personal grievances or our narcissistic infatuations. We are neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, black or white. We are human beings, and selfless unity rather than self-centered demands must be our first thing.
“Professors, politicians, pundits, and even preachers do our nation great harm by enabling young people to fixate on those things that are second. As Richard Neuhaus warned, such ontological dyslexia only brings with it the ‘profound bigotry and anti-intellectualism and intolerance and illiberality of liberalism.’ | “This enabling of adolescence and its fixation on ‘me and mine’ is growing with each decade. It is stunting the development of our kids and our culture. We are force-feeding our progeny a steady diet of individualism and diversity rather than the higher ideas of sacrifice and unity. Why are we surprised to see a generation of self-centered adults frozen in childish claims of entitlement and demands for their fair share?
“We have set up those who follow us for failure by encouraging them to believe that their safety is more important than their neighbor’s soul. We have taught them that they are entitled to everything rather than obligated to give anything.”
The bottom line is this — Democrats refused to support Oklahoma HB 1775 because they are perpetual children who are more interested in making the mud pies of blame and shame in the back allies than in celebrating a vacation at the beach of selflessness and sacrifice.
Democrats refused to vote for this bill because they refuse to grow up.

We hope to fill the room with Christian patriots. We don't want the failed voices of the far leftist educational community to pack the room. | CHARLIE & LINDA MEADOWS 50th Wedding Anniversary | It looks like we are on the verge of seeing a bonafide miracle.
If Charlie and Linda Meadows are still married this coming Saturday, September 11th, they will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
One reason it should be considered a miracle is that around 1:00 p.m. on September 11, 1971, Charlie and Linda said their vows before the Commissioner of Civil Marriage in Las Vegas Nevada.
Many Vegas marriages don’t last 50 days much less 50 years.
However, in November of 1973 Charlie and Linda had moved to Plano Texas and by January of 1974, on the verge of divorce, they committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.
They moved to Bethany Oklahoma in May of 1974 and watched the Lord begin to heal their marriage. On their 7th anniversary they renewed their vows, this time as unto the Lord.
This Wednesday anyone wanting to express congratulations will have an opportunity to sign a card doing so. However, Charlie believes he should be awarded a medal for staying in the marriage this long.
| Therefore, Charlie being a glutton for punishment, has suggested everyone signing the card should be allowed to vote on whether it should be he or Linda that should get a medal.
So, after you have signed the card, next to your name draw a circle and, in the circle, write a “C” for Charlie or an “L” for Linda. Charlie warns, if anyone signs and fails to vote he will vote for them. Working for the Good of the Public or the Deception of the Public?
Over the past several weeks we have begun to unwind what appears to be a very complex set of problems lurking within our state government.
WORTHLESS AUDITS?
How did the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) come to have a serious financial crisis (according to its former CFO), but never have any of those problems uncovered during regular annual audits by the State Auditor & Inspector (SAI)?
PROBLEMS KEPT HIDDEN?
How did the OSDH begin a process of a reduction in force if it really never needed to do that. If the SA&I indicated that the crisis was only a “perceived financial crisis”?
Subsequently, the SA&I seemingly lifted (word-for-word) into its own audits, the written report from the former OSDH CFO indicating the problems at OSDH were indeed very serious.
The later audit by the SA&I revealed that the problems related to the Ryan White Rebate funds were large. Yet, the SA&I could not identify whether or not the funds were utilized improperly.
Presuming there was an improper use of millions of dollars (as the SA&I reported in its own audit), it is only reasonable to surmise that there was indeed a financial crisis of some kind.
FORMER SA&I GARY JONES
At this stage of our investigation, it is very important to not get lost on how former SA&I Gary Jones came to determine that the financial crisis at the OSDH was only “perceived.”

FORMER SENIOR DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF OSDH JULIE COX-KAIN | Jones had to conduct yet an additional audit beyond the regular annual audits.
That audit was requested by none other than the leaders at the OSDH at the time of the “perceived” financial crisis—the State Commissioner of Health Terry Cline and the Senior Deputy Commissioner of the OSDH, Julie Cox-Kain.
Did those OSDH leaders believe that the OSDH had a financial crisis? If so, would that be why they asked the SAI for a special audit?
I wonder if those OSDH leaders and the Commissioner of Health had ever been in contact with the Office of the SA&I about financial problems prior to their request for a special audit.
If they were in contact, was that contact a way to cover up the years of errors?
Prior to their resignations, I wonder if they had communications with the SA&I once news of the OSDH scandal became public?
Were high state office holders oblivious to any ability to confer with the Office of the SA&I? Or were they simply being coached on what to do next?
Bear in mind that the SA&I received the initial notice of problems in the document provided to them by the OSDH CFO in the summer of 2017.

This was prior to the special audit request by these state officials in the fall. In the SAI’s attempt to cover its own tracks, we as the citizens are left to accept the following reasoning: | The FOIA requests for the communications between former Commissioner Cline, Deputy Commissioner Cox-Kain and the SAI should bring some very revealing truth, but the fact is, no one wants to participate in what we all know is a function of government—transparency for the citizens.

Protestants, Catholics, and the Orthodox church have been infiltrated. Our beloved evangelistic organizations have seen wolves in sheep's clothing rise to the very top.
The head of the Russian Orthodox church is a KGB agent. The Pope is a Marxist. The evangelical church has been deeply penetrated. That penetration goes to the very top of institutions we thought were rock solid. This includes the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), the Southern Baptist Church, the former Campus Crusade for Christ (now, CRU), and many others.
The evidence is iron clad. I was on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ and worked with founder and President, Dr. Bill Bright. Sadly, I have been made aware that Marxist concepts have become pervasive at their national conferences over the past few years. It is both clear and stunning. Marxist language is now a part of their programs on campuses throughout the nation.
I've also spent many years in the Southern Baptist Church. In addition, my wife and I founded a PCA church in our living room many years ago. In spite of my close relationship with all these institutions, the evidence of their fall from Godliness is overwhelming.
In the near future, I plan to focus on the developments within the organization I once knew as Campus Crusade for Christ.
It is important to expose these enemies who have crept into Christendom. These have entered our Christian institutions in an effort to destroy the Church. The "gospel" they promote will bear no fruit. Marxist ideology mixed with Bible verses will produce neither salvation nor the health, peace, and prosperity of civilizations.
Marxist concepts like social justice, critical race theory and the myths inherent in the concept of "white privilege" are ungodly, contrary to all of the Scriptures, and represent evil and destructive weapons designed to destroy the church, the family, and societies. They are drenched in narcissism and hatred.
