1. Program Oct. 11: This Wednesday at noon at Mama Roja, Richard Hovis will speak to us about Old Earth Creation. This theory posits that the universe is quite ancient and that God directed processes over long periods of time to prepare the universe and earth for the human experience of the last ten thousand years. Government schools teach the atheistic theory of total Darwinian evolution, but do not teach other competing theories. There is no reason, legal or otherwise, that schools should not teach all the major theories of origins. In fact, decisions such as these should be left to local school boards, not bureaucrats at the state or federal level.

In, But Not In; The House
1. OCPAC Oct. 4: Dana Murphy for Lt. Governor
2. In, But Not In…the House
3. Events
1. OCPAC Oct. 4: This Wednesday at noon at Mama Roja, we will hear from Dana Murphy about her run for Lt. Governor of Oklahoma.
2. In, But Not In…the House. The governor called a special session of the Legislature to begin on Sept 25. However, on September 27, the Speaker of the House announced that the House would recess until such a time as budget negotiations produced something on which they could vote. This is good news. It means that many legislators, both Republican and Democrat, are unwilling to vote for tax increases in general, and a cigarette tax specifically. In a worst case scenario, gridlock would continue and nothing would be done. Agencies would simply have to operate with available cash. This has happened in the past, and the Oklahoma world did not come to end.
